Will someone please tell me why I get a "Security Check" box when I attempt to post without logging in? And what on earth am I sposed to type in that box??

Hi Cherie,
Just type in the slightly distorted letters and numbers you see in the box into the smaller blank box below it.

The purpose of the security check box is to prevent automated postings from the spammers. In other words, the distorted example cannot be machine-read; an actual human is needed to decipher the letters.

The purpose of the security check box is to prevent automated postings from the spammers. In other words, the distorted example cannot be machine-read; an actual human is needed to decipher the letters. The code can be machine read - it prevents people from writing simple scripts to auto-post. Think about it - computers are reading x-rays and identifying potato chips on a production line that are too dark. Getting predefined letters and numbers out of a well defined box is child's play.
