Joey M. Daehler, Beloit/Elkhorn (1976 - 2008) March 13, 1976 - July 10, 2008 Joey Marie Daehler, 32, of Beloit, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008, at home with her family by her side. She was born on March 13, 1976, in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Michael and Linda (Marcum) Blackwell. She married Dennis Daehler in September 2003 in Janesville, WI. She graduated from Elkhorn High School and then Beloit College. She was employed as a Chemist at Genencor Corp. in Beloit. She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Beloit; her son, Patrick Michael; a stepson, Eric Richard; two brothers, Dale (Janean) Blackwell of Elkhorn and Ray Blackwell of Milwaukee; parents, Liz and Sparky Marcum; and grandfather, Don Blackwell. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Frieda Blackwell. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at the MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Delavan. Burial will be at the Hazel Ridge Cemetery in Elkhorn. MONROE FUNERAL HOME, Delavan, is assisting the family.

Wow! My sympathy to the family.... she was my best friend one year at convention. We lived on opposite sides of the state, but we wrote a few times and then lost touch. I remember her as very friendly and bubbly. Whenever someone mentioned Elkhorn, I wondered about where she was. So sad to hear!
