OKAY-----I am a very good cook, so here goes, here is what you do. OH! Spaghetti is one of my favorite things to cook.
The crock-pot thing won't work to cook the noodles, it would just turn them gluey.
Cook the noodles in the skillet. Put water in the skillet, get it to boiling, put the noodles in, cook 9 or 10 minutes, pour noodles into something to drain (colander), run cool water over the noodles so they don't stick.
Now, cook the meat in the skillet, after it is browned, drain off any grease, add sauce and spices, simmer, then add the noodles to the sauce and meat ingredients in the skillet. Mamma Mia

Cook 2 or 3 sets of noodles, would that work?
Then mix the cooked noodles and the cooked meat together in the crock-pot and heat up.

Be sure and let me know how it turns out. As much cooking as I have done, I am so surprised at this recipe. I can see how it works though because of putting in the noodles at the last. Anyway, sounds good..............

I I think you can. If you don't like the taste, put in some spices like oregano, garlic salt/powder, diced onions. Throw in a can of mushrooms.

hey, since the meat was browned already, and the sauce was prepared already, and its simmering in the crock pot now, do i have to wait 3 more hours to add the noodles?

I asked the expert cook in our household and he said he would wait 3 more hours to put the noodles in the crockpot... if done soon he says that may become too gooey. Hope this works out for ya..Gem

I would not wait-----what is the point?
The ingredients are done, so why cook them to death.
I think you lose a lot of flavor with that much cooking, besides cooking away the sauce.
The sauce will cook the noodles-----right?
I say go ahead and put the noodles in-----

After you add the noodles cook for 30 minutes and test the noodles, it might be done. If not cook another 30 or so.
Forget about the hour stuff, that is ridiculous.

I should haven't listened to the expert cook in our household. I should have listened to myself and told you to put the noodles in like Hell's Kitchen told you to. Gem

~~Let us know lonely star how the noodles etc. turn out~~I talked to Gem a few minutes ago on the phone.~~She is still embarrassed about the noodle bit~~Serves her right, she should have listened to herself instead of taking advice from a man.~~ Iilene

I'm glad your spaghetti turned out well, Ran. As pointed out above, there are TONS of things you can do in a crock pot..I LOVE mine! You can make country ribs (just buy the ribs, cut em apart ina few places, dump in a bottle of bbq and let it go all day...mmmmmmmmm!) meatballs, brats with sourkraut...all sorts of things. Also, if you have a local St. Vincent DePaul (I go to ours all the time just looking for bargains!) you can find tonsssss of things SUPER cheap like pots and pans....maybe a quarter or 50cents each? They won't match, likely, but who cares?? At least you'll have something to start cooking in. Also, St. Vincent DePaul and Salvation Army will usually give you clothes, food or anything like that if you really have a NEED. During my lifetime, I have both needed help from them AND donated to them in various ways numerous times. We all need help at times. Possibly you know all this already, but check into it if you haven't. M.
