Not everyone who is fat is fat due to overeating. Being tall is nothing you can control, although they do have treatments to make you taller.
More to life than meets the eye.

Long live beer, brats, cheese, and Packer football!! Well, I guess football in general, but especially the Pack! Long live the armchair quarterback! How could all the football teams possibly play without the millions of people advising them on what to do from their LaZBoys? I'm a little confused. What does getting taller have to do with sitting on our butts, watching TV, looking at internet, eating fast food, etc.? Is getting tall on the same plane as getting fat? andy

Looking only at the taller part of the statement - it should come as no surprise. And it is not limited to Americans. Historical studies show that humans are getting taller and taller. Over the last 150 years the average height of people in Western nations has increased by around 4 inches. The increase is mainly due to improvements in nutrition and health.
