Why doesn't the US just bomb a mosque where Al-Sadr hides his cowardly arse? That monster has caused much pain and suffering. I am so fed up with the Muslim fundamentalists that I could scream!

I think you have an overly simplistic solution. I agree that, in this instance, it seems that destroying the mosque and everything around it would, in the long run, save lives, just as a the destruction of Hanoi early in the war would have saved lives in the Viet Nam war. However, I am not in a position to make specific judgement about where the bombs should be directed, so I am inclined to leave the judgement up to those who have more information.

What an excellent suggestion if your goal is to strongly reinforce the stereotype of the "Ugly American" and renew the terrorist's resolve to destroy the infidels who, at least in their eyes, are a threat to their way of life. Remember the worldwide outrage when the Taliban destroyed ancient Buddha statues at Bamiyan? We really do not need to make another dumb error. The cowboy approach is not always the wise approach.
