I found this quote on an MSN article on the rage about "keepsake fetal videos".
"The FDA considers it illegal for anyone to promote, sell, or lease ultrasound equipment for the purpose of making keepsake fetal videos, particularly if there is no medical prescription. "
I find it so interesting that the FDA considers such a thing to be illegal. You can kill your baby in the womb for any reason, but it is illegal to take it's picture if it's only for a keepsake? So much for the womans right to choose.

What you are saying is that you would like to allow people to possibly harm a fetus just so they can have pictures of it in the womb. Aren't these the same pictures that have been circulated by the anti-abortion people to show how 'human' a fetus is in the womb? Is it worth potential harm to the fetus to make their point? I remember when you could try on new shoes and then put your feet in a fluroscope and see your toes in the shoes. They don't allow that any more either. Using medical devices for entertainment is not always a good idea.

What I am saying is that situations like these show the hypocrisy of your position. How come you werent rallying for the cause of the womans right to choose on this one Present?

They already have the right to decide to have the procedure or to say they do not wish it. They cannot demand it any more than they can demand to have morphine or demerol and not be under a doctor's care. But I do believe that drugs should be legalized and that if someone wants to purchase and use an ultrasound that they should be able to do so.

The wierd thing to me, is how many drs. will prescribe birth control (hormones) to a nursing mother. So many times the baby just isn't the priority.
