Americans don't have the patience to expand the war on Terror against Syria, Iran, Pakistan, N. Korea, Hamas/PLO/Arafat etc..
US soldiers aren't as battle hardened as the radical Islamic fundamentalists. 1000 US lives bothers us yet these countries could lose 1,000,000 lives and not be touched by the bloodshed. Americans have 10 minute attention spans. Already they are beginning to forget 9/11. And the whole thing gets mixed up in an election year. Bottom line: our softness is going to bite us in the ass in the future.

Are you in Iraq Mr/Ms truth ? Are you a hard-acting soldier or just an armchair know-it-all American school boy/girl, who will «p i s s o f f» in front of real battle?
Or how many children do you have in the Middle East fighting hard for American oil and Bush's buddies?
If you are there or if you have childern fighting there then you have the right to say what you said. If not just s h u t u p !!

Americans have 10 minute attention spans.e future. Is it a matter of being battled hardened or a matter of not caring if you have to die for your cause? Fighting a war against terrorism is a difficult task. How do you know if you have won? Who do you attack? In the past we have seen that some of the terrorists are Americans or at least live in the US. Attacking Iraq did little to reduce the threat. Why would attacking Syria or Pakistan produce better results? If you are there or if you have childern fighting there then you have the right to say what you said. If not just s h u t u p !! It is a dangerous path to follow to put conditions on the fredom of speech.

I deny anybody the right to say things that will lead me and my children to useless wars - if he/she will not suffer the same consequences. It is not a problem of freedom of speech (yes everybody has the right to say whatever he/she thinks fit to be pronounced) but I will be totally opposed to whatever nonsense touches my life or the lives of my beloved.

Was it nonsence to throw the tea into the Boston Harbor?
Was writing a Declaration of Independence while under subjugation to another country nonsence?
Was fighting the Civil War nonsence?
Was the Sufferage Act nonsence?
No. Everything good has a price. Change comes at a cost.

Or how many children do you have in the Middle East fighting hard for American oil and Bush's buddies? ------------------------ Nobody has been drafted. It is a voluntary army. Unlike the war Kerry supported, then opposed and NOW wants to score political points!

And the reports I get from my son and others who have been and are in Iraq is nothing like those seen in the news media. inatent

America MUST BE STRONG. We cannot surrender control of our troops to France, Germany or that Egyptian Secretary-General Kophi Anan. If we don't prevail, the rest of the western world will fail to radical Islamic fundamentalists!! We must act. We cannot be nice guys and sit on our fannies while terrorists thrive.
Maybe some soldiers go into the military hoping for free education and seeing foreign lands they otherwise wouldn't see. We are in war today and they should understand this. Nobody wants casualties.
Never mind that in two weeks time, more people will die of automobile accidents than have died in Iraq but nobody is protesting cars or unsafe roads!!
