At a recent convention, most sermons from the main speakers seemed to focus on getting the friends to not trust themselves.
You could see that they didn't believe in eternal security. They didn't know if they were saved. They hoped they had a chance of being saved. They are too focused on judgement and not focused enough on God's love. Which makes a fearful and insecure person. No wonder so many of them suffer nerve problems.

Most of the 2x2s don't seem to be assured of eternal life and seem to think they have to "earn" it. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. "For God so loved the world....." The GIFT has been given. We aren't expected to pay for that GIFT, we couldn't if we wanted to. Somewhere along the line that has been lost and it is sad to hear people fear they won't make it. It's not like God made a downpayment for us. We're saved by the GIFT/GIVER. We are flesh and God knows we will never be perfect. The best we can do is recognize the value of the GIFT and rejoice! How can you not be humbled and love a GIFT so precious!!!

What good does it do God and Jesus that a bunch of spiritual bullies (workers) use all the weapons of the flesh to enslave a bunch of unfortunate, born into a cult, and indoctrinated(poisened) against Jesus(Truth) flock. The workers preach their truth. They remove the GoodNews and trap and spiritually brutalize and devour their blind legions. Since the blind insist on staying blind, I guess that is their final choice. I am outta here...................

When the "friends" see the "perfect example" that the workers set, they know there is NO WAY that they can ever measure up. No wonder they doubt themselves. If the "friends" believed in eternal security there would be no need to live in fear....but the workers also know there would be no need for them either!

Seems to me that many of the workers are full of self doubt as well.
