It's hard to be encouraged by the journey so we need to keep focused on the goal.
Personally, I find this quote very sad and an unwitting admittance of a major shortcoming of the fellowship - a lack of joy.....

I agree. I know am am going to get slammed again, however I can't deny the joy I have felt since finding God for the first time. Being B&R I pretty much thought my only choice was to stay in the F&W, or I was bound for a lost eternity. Now, realizing that the "Only Way" is Jesus I have joy like never before. We have struggles, we have bumps but the overwhelming feeling is joy. I am encouraged by what I read in the Bible. I'm encouraged by things that happen in my every day life. I am encouraged by my brothers and sisters in Christ. It is joy like no other. It's not a hard, slogging journey. It's a praise filled journey.

One of the fruits of the spirit is joy. The journey is a joyful one. If not then something is lacking... everyone has trials in life but with Jesus the burden is light.

To "a believer" The bible is replete with examples of people who loved God and had their prayers answered. To convince me otherwise you would have to show how God answered the prayers of people who were not willing for God's will in their lives.

How could there not be two wills? Why would Jesus need to pray "not MY will but THINE be done." His will and God's will were two different things. "If you would, remove this cup from me" was Jesus' will. "Never the less not my will (will one) but thine(will two) be done." Looks like two wills to me. Plain logic illustrates that.
