"Where the RUBBER meets the ROAD".
Yes, We must meet in himes Our Wrokers must go 2x2 Our women must follow a dress code . . .
Does "The RUBBER meet the ROAD"?
As a group of people in "God's only Way" do we even have rubber let alone meeting the road?
Ah, but the Amish folks are not in "God's only true Way".
Or have we totally missed the mark?

Meaning: Where the rubber meets the road is the most important point for something, the moment of truth. An athlete can train all day, but the race is where the rubber meets the road and they'll know how good they really are. So true Roy! God is the only way . Im so glad you made this good point. No religion can save us. Jesus can. And not just by lip service we must run the race with the love and mercy he showed us. Again thanks for the input . Well put. nitro

Abdalla also said there are "some very serious allegations" of molestation and attempted rape in that Amish community. The sheriff's department is also investigating the death of a 2-year-old Amish boy who lived in the community. An autopsy on that toddler was never performed though required by law, Abdalla said. He showed a stack of letters from people he claims left the Bergholz community and are begging him to step in. Further, he said the Amish in that community are being threatened psychologically. "(Mullet) told the children we were going to get them and put needles in them. My God, any child would be scared," Abdalla said. Here we got two different groups of Amish with two different characters, one group has good character and one has bad character ________________________ New topic: www.examishspecialties.com/130014.htmlMaybe someone could start an ex2x2 barn-not-a-church-building business!

What I don't understand is what people don't understand about forgiving someone who shot and killed a loved one.
The one that did the shooting is dead. His wife & kids didn't do the shooting. Lets just say for the experience of it... he didn't die either.
Now, the amish people know and understand what Jesus was talking about when he said if you are going to the alter and you remember that your brother has something against you.. leave the sacrifice and go make it right with your brother and then come and make the sacrifice. Also they understand that their forgiveness of that man doesn't take away from him the shame, pain and suffering he will have to endure because the law of the land will execute judgment upon on him and he will have to pay his debt to society.
Now that we know this particular man is dead of his own hand, what purpose does it serve to have anger and hold a grudge against him. It serves no purpose whatsoever, except the one that holds onto the anger and grudge. It eats inside and destroys our own peace.
The bottom line is, if we forgive, we shall be forgiven. If we hold something against someone, we shall not receive forgivness from our father. So do YOU believe what Jesus said or not?
