[quote author=horny troll board=general thread=1191043125 post=1191050380 Now then: Perhaps it would be helpful to ask some of the following questions if and when one is wondering whether certain behaviours or style of dress would be appropriate: (consider the setting/situation)
1.) Am I being offensive to other people? 2.) Am I modest? 3.) Is what I am doing edifying to the Kingdom? Edifying--: meaning nourishing and building up--: ? 4.) Am I glorifying God?
My lands, let's do some self-evaluation here: examine yourselves, people! One should be bringing honor and glory to God, above all else! Or else, you shall be in danger of eternal torment in hell's kitchen! OOps! My post got inserted in the post. I'll try again! Excellent guidelines, MTL, especially the behavior part. I am not certain about #1, as any change can be offensive initially. To those who are taken up with the outward appearance, for a woman to come to meeting is slacks would likely be offensive. It is just amazing to me that the same group of people who want to cover up sex crimes, and inappropriate behavior, will focus on petty issues like what the women wear, and how they wear their hair. This church has lots more important issues to deal with, and needs to cut people some slack in how they dress. This is just, and yes it IS (bert), my opinion.

Well yes, of course, Mr. Challenger space shuttle...........ahhemmm.......................... Why, if I am reading this correctly, thou art suggesting one might be offensive to others just because one is doing something 'different', new, or unORTHOdox!............ ahhemmm................? Yes, I would have to agree on that point--: One can inadvertently offend others without doing anything techinically out of the ordinary scope of human behaviour --: IN such a situation, one needs to realise that just by being one's true and honest self, other people will CHOOSE to take offense. Yes, indeed. Good point pointed out. So then, does one go ahead and take that risk?
SOTS would like to support the notion that as long as one is modest and not of indecent exposure, one is not breaking the laws of the land, therefore, one should not be ex-com- municated for decorum with does not blend in with the rest of the flock. If one shall become a black sheep at that point in time, then at least one is sticking to one's true color.
[oops, my previous post was accidentally inserted into another's post]

Oh my stars, something has gone terribly wrong here, I fear, as posts are being mixed and inserted into other posts at alarming rates. Help.
