Am I the only one on this board who feels as though I am wandering through a ghost town? The abandoned posts; the desolate threads; the trickle of passers-by where once a mighty torrent of men did walk. The TMB seems somehow hollow. A caricature of what once it was.
I don't like the numerous "sticky" topics at the top of the page either. There are about five or six, pushing all the real threads down into the second page.
I don't like the fact that terms have not been defined (i.e. "no personal attacks" etc.), or the fact that this admin answers questions by starting threads in which us unenlightened folk are left to debate in ignorance.
I don't like the fact that questions directed to the administrator go by unanswered.
I suspect it will take several weeks for the TMB to be up and running again, but I can't help feeling annoyed at a great many things. The old TMB was so good primarily because the administrator was AWOL and so obviously didn't care about the project he founded. Now that someone else has been anointed to fill his ever-absent, ever-empty shoes, and speculation is rife, am I the only one who feels chills running up my spine?

Nah!
Nothing much of importance was ever on this board before. Nothing was ever screwed down, or even nailed. It was just held together with "brads".
If you really want to get the straight stuff, you need to go over to the TMB II.

It is pretty quiet around here. I think it is giving me the chance to catch up on some reading of other posts that I might have missed.

Is not that what you nat, bertcollective wanted? Chase away all the evil exers so to speak so that all accounts regarding wrongs both in doctrine and behavior of the 2x2's would not come to light. After all you know everything and it is very hard to discuss anything with people who know everything and believe they are always right. So what else is new--Maybe one should ask a question of why Rob O no longer posts here?

"If you have knowledge, let others light their candles at it." Margaret Fuller
"There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance." Socrates
"Men are four: He who knows not and knows not he knows not, he is a fool--shun him; He who knows not and knows he knows not, he is simple--teach him; He who knows and knows not he knows, he is asleep--wake him; He who knows and knows he knows, hi is wise--follow him!" Author: Lady Burton

Here's a favorite of mine: There are just two kinds of people: One to whom Belief...is more precious than Truth, And the other to whom Truth...is more precious than Belief. (Author Unknown) Also, From the cowardice that shrinks from new truths... From the laziness that is content with half truths... From the arrogance that thinks it knows all truth... O God of Truth, deliver us. (Author unknown) Some other quotes are found on TTT at: What is Truth? home.earthlink.net/%7Etruth/sec2-1Truth.html#TRUTH

I don't think I agree with Lady Burton's quote above. For one thing, I don't think we should follow someone because of the knowledge they have. One could be very intelligent, but evil at heart. Also, I think there are those who are "puffed up" with knowledge. Not saying knowledge is bad, just saying that there has to be a good spirit and soul to go with it.
