Have the workers written many hymns or poems in the last decade or so. I look through old poems given to me by workers of the past and I see so much dedication to spiritual things.
It seems like workers today are often trying to defend their group instead of delving into deep spiritual matters. Exceptions to all rules though.
Are there any workers today who write hymns like Kenneth Dissemore, Mary McGregor, Sam Jones or James Jardine?
Is there less spirituality among the ministry today than in the past? Who are the hymn writers and poets in the work in 2007?

As pants the hart for water brooks, so pants Jessi for the opportunity to rip apart some of the cultist's hymns. How eager is she for the chance to condemn and malign; how reluctantly does she drag her feet to bless and encourage and praise!
Christ's Forever, (Just don't ask me to demonstrate Him)

I was visiting a Baptist church and the first hymn they sang was "Tell Me The Story of Jesus". I thought that hymn only belonged to the meeting folks. I then started looking through the book and found many of our hymns there. Who copied from whom? I thought hymns were copyrighted?

That hymn was first published in 1880 long before the first hymn book was published for those in the 2x2. I believe the first hymnbook was run in 1919 making it about 40 years later. It is a Fanny Crosby hymn and the 2x2 hymn book does not give her the credit. They have a blank there with no credit to any author. The front of the Hymns Old and New states that they "diligently sought permission to copy the words and tunes." They also state there that if there is a problem with some of th printed material they will correct it.

When I first started going to my current church they started singing a song and I had to stop and listen. They were singing "Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings see what God has done, count your blessings name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God has done." But the tune and the words that went through my mind were "God's salvation is the Christ within giving daily victory over sin, him as Lord by lip and life confessed walking in his footsteps to eternal rest" I had to stop myself from singing the 2X2 words LOL.
