For some reason one of my hymns came to mind this morning. I felt the presence of the Lord and inspired to post this, even though I don't like sharing my hymns with those outside of the Church. My theological writings, hymns, etc. of the past decade are all labours for the benefit and the building up of the Church and all the saints in every place, and for the exaltation and elevation of the Lord Jesus Christ, on whose behalf I toil.
Yet here it is. I wrote this almost five years ago, and it is one of my favourite hymns:

Jesus, Son of the blest Father, true Son of God,
Arms outstretched upon the tree in Thy deepest love,
Come again in Spirit to me, as in times of prayer,
Fount forever flowing; Thy hand my sorrows bare.
Lowly Man of Nazareth, the great King of kings,
Glorified on Thy bright throne, ev’ry angel sings,
Yet in loving condescension Thou to me wilt reach!
Lord, I give Thee all my heart, ‘tis Thine I beseech.
For eternal days, my Lord, Thou hast with God dwelt,
Word of Heaven, Word made flesh, Word of season’s help,
Strengthen my weak faith, O Jesus, that Thy word perform,
Thy words are my Life and Shelter from every storm.
Lord and brightest Heav’nly Star, guide me all the way,
That in hour of resurrection I see Thy day,
Yet what sorrow for the wailing in the darkness grim!
Never to behold Thy face, and stand free from sin.
Son of Man and Prince of Peace, who did humbly come,
Came to walk among us men, Thou God’s only Son,
And I know the field of battle, lies in finding faith,
Those who cast themselves before Thee are ever safe.
Thou art God with us, O Lord, Thou art only Light,
Thou doth knoweth all my heart, this cruel pride to fight!
Lord for mercy, sight and strength, Thou art my only hope!
Oh please leave me not, that I should in darkness grope.
I confess before Thy face, I’m a sinner Lord,
I am worthy of but wrath and death’s fearful sword,
Oh Hosanna in the highest! Save me now I pray!
Son of David, and Good Shepherd, Thou art the Way.
Author of the faith, O Lord, and faith’s finisher,
Judge of all mankind, Thou art the Great Winnower,
When my life has finally ended, hide my spirit safe,
Hide me in Thee Lord; in Thy grace I rest my faith.
