I am curious to know why so many of you are looking at the truth stuff on the internet...
Are you on the internet because you left or are leaving truth?
or
Are you on the internet because of what the internet says about truth?

I actually came here because I have a friend in Louisiana that is "searching". I thought that she might be interested in coming to the meetings. I thought that I could find a way to get in touch with a worker in La, without contacting my family........they would read way too much into it if I started asking questions about workers etc.
I have since changed my mind about hooking my friend up with the so called truth........I have to believe in something before I can sell it.

Roger,
Reading/posting here is not "feeding." Where did you ever get such an idea, anyway? Each of us who post here have individual reasons for doing so, and quite likely no two are the same, just as your unregistered posts here are from and for your own reasons.
For me, I love those I was excommunicated from as much as I ever did, and find there are others to love here as well. Truth is not two and two ministry "truff" and can easily be proven that it is not. Every post I make here is because something has compelled me to do so. Why? Because I care. That anyone does not care that I care is not the issue. If based on truth conviction should be able to withstand opposition without resorting to rude, crude offensive assertions and comments, should it not?
Time is short for all and even shorter for some of us. For me there simply is no greater part of life than meditation upon spiritual eternal things. If what I'm led to post contains any wisdom, then perhaps some will appreciate my effort. If not, well, then it is, as I posted elsewhere, as if it were just chaff blowing in the wind.
Sincerely,
Dennis

Are you on the internet because you left or are leaving truth? or Are you on the internet because of what the internet says about truth? I think if you read the post, they speak for themselves. They answer your question in detail. Seek and you will find the answers. Are you willing for the Truth? Are you willing for the consequeces of the Truth? Or do you just want to stay in your comfort zone? How bad do you need the Truth? Are you willing to die for it? Jesus did.

I was actually looking for a friend's site.. and knew that it had pictures of a get together. I googled some words, found this place, and ... wah-lah.
I'm not sure if the first forum I came across was this place or not, but when I first posted in a 2x2 forum, I was very hateful. I was a kid- and I had yet to really explore my beliefs. I thought everyone here was persuaded of the devil.

An aquaintence linked me to this site, I took a looksee, saw some interesting things posted and decided to stick around to stir the pot, then I accidently posted something pretty close to sincere and well I just gotta see how it plays out. As to your premise I am very secure in my beliefs, I am also very positive that there are some people on this site that are secure in their beliefs. Soooooooooooo I guess its a race to see which of us is right. Only one problem though, by the time we know who is RIGHT, we wont be a position to care anymore OR change our minds

I am here just out of curiosity. At first I was "surprised" to hear about all the stories of people in/out of the fellowship. However after a few months of this, it's all the same.....complain complain....blah blah blah....really ,in the realm of things it's much ado about nothing.

I was doing bible research on "TRUTH" Just the "What is Truth" and not in reference to the F&W. I found most of the sites to include a site called Bibletopics or something like that. I found it had references to rebuttal of the TTT. I went to that site and was really impressed with the history. I read more, found the link and came to find this board. In the course of study I noticed that the Bibletopics site taught of the Trinity and yet presented as an F&W supported site.
Now in the course of reading this site many told me it was just full of fallen away and angry exes. In my many debate with those here, all told me to just ask the workers questions about my concerns and see how fast I would be shunned. I never did believe them.
I was bound by our Lords Grace when not attending the meetings for awhile. No worker input nor testing. I knew of Gods Grace in others as in me and was still studying the issue of Trinity. Well praise be to the Bibletopics site for helping me really seek out the Trinity answer. When scripture opened up and I saw the big picture---(God out of the Box)----;
That led me to standing up for what I have witnessed as the Holy Spirit worked in others outside of the fellowship. And yes then sharing about the fullness of Gods Grace.
And yes then learning that most who post here are not what I first thought. They were just faithful Christians who have been put in perplexing and hurting situations by rejection of those who they have spent a life of fellowship with. And why? Because they have grown in knowledge and spoke of it, hoping that "truth" would sing loudly to their friends. Sadly this does not happen.
The Group Think is A Very Powerful Placebo
So then It was not exes who opened the scriptures up to me but an apologetic site helping to affirm what the Holy Spirit was laying on my heart.
I am here because I enjoy most of the discussions. I am here to share what shunning does and how wrong it is. I am here in hopes that others may learn also. Do I think I am something more than I ought. No I am nothing. I am just a lowly believer of Christs Grace (God the Son)
I know that many others in the fellowship read here and hope that they might see that excluisivism and shunning is not right in any context.
If my friends and servants claim to be the only true way then consider this. Why is there shunning at all. Should not the servants and fellowship spend more time with the lost sheep.
My Thoughts
Psalm 130:2-4 (King James Version) King James Version (KJV) Public Domain
2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Are you on the internet because you left or are leaving truth? or Are you on the internet because of what the internet says about truth? Why do you provide only two possible answers to your question? Is it because you think that there are only two possible answers? or Is it that your brain became tired after thinking up just two?

Its a figure of speech I took her to mean that she cannot tell her freinds about "the truth" because she doesnt belive in it ( the 2x2's or whatever they go by in your world)

It's much ado about the most significant choice you will make in this life......where you will spend eternity. We are not willing that any should perish. Our goal is to expose the 2 x 2 doctrine for the lies that it is built on. Yes, for some people it is.......amazingly enough. Personally, choosing my socks in the morning is more relevant and significant. The lies the 2x2 doctrine is based on is no more (or less) a lie than any of the other doctrines around.

Speaking of socks, I'm glad you brought them up. When you look away from your socks, are they still there? When you become preoccupied with your daily routine enough that you are no longer conscious of feeling them, are they still there? And have you ever, not feeling them, stopped... to look at them... and discovered that you forgot to bring them with you?

I arrived here about 2 years ago - on this particular site. However found the first site like this when I was about 13-14. Sorta then came back upon them again. Started posting a bit, standing for what I believe - no harm in that

Do these two negatives make a positive? So it's okay with you that the doctrine of the 2 x 2 that some call a lie is acceptable (to you) because others also believe some other doctrine that is a lie? If so, how sad! Best regards, Edy

I am on the internet because the head worker mentioned from the platform in the last convention I attended that "The only reason people look at those sites is because of lack of faith".
That was it. After hearing about 'those sites' for so many years I was finally curious enough to look and see what people could possibly say that was so bad. If the internet sites were 'full of bitter exes that had lost out' then my faith would surely stand against that. The statement from the head worker did not make sense to me.
I looked... and found out. I found out that this "only right way" was based on a lie, there was a human founder, and 'this perfect way' did not exist until WI started it. I was ALWAYS told that Jesus started 'meeting'. In reading 'those sites' some of the pieces began to fall into place for me - the heart issues I now recognize as doubts. Prayer, reading, crying, talking and questioning led me to putting my faith in Jesus rather than meeting, by His Grace. The joy I feel by His Grace overrides the sadness I feel by the hurtful treatment of family and those I considered friends since I no longer believe that meeting is the only right place to worship.
I stay here because this is the only means by which I can communicate with others who have had similar journeys. I'm still learning, sharing and growing from that experience.
Okay, I didn't mean to ''go off" like that.

We have heard on these boards by those in meetings that the workers do not preach against the internet and these sites but you are saying as we know, they do say things against them which is what we know and experienced it ourselves. we also hear and only as recently as last week from the person going to convention that everyone knows about the history and no one cares. Again we know this is not true. A lot do not know and when people find out they do care.
