Does anyone know if the faith mission church still exsists? Ive been trying to get information on it (particulary for Canada) but cant seem to find any info on the web? I only found out about it a few months ago, and I found tons of stuff then, but last night I googled it and unrelated stuff came up instead. Anybody able to help?

At the request of a Toronto pastor in 1927, two Faith Mission pilgrims came over to Canada. The Faith Mission (in Canada) has it's headquarters in Campbellville, Ontario and has workers in Ontario and British Columbia. www.faithmissioncanada.org/

I just looked up Google again, and apparently Greg Lee Unplugged is right not just trying to give me a hard time. I dunno what I did wrong when I was looking it up, Im pretty sure I spelled it correctly. I was brought up 2x2... Im searching at the moment. Having finally accepted Christ into my life, Im looking for a fellowship without "exclusive" beliefs that uphold Jesus commandments. Im not decided on faith mission (just investigating at the moment) so if anyone else has other avenues/churches for me to explore let me know.
Are there any faith missioners on this board? if there are can you post me privately thanks!

Perhaps not - if you are not familiar with all of the functions available in MS-Word. If you do as the poster said, you can modify the contrast and brightness of the image an then save the changes. Bolding and highlighting may not be the exact terms (contract and brightness and MS-Words terms) but they has the correct idea. Whether this will make this document any more readable is another question. Ilylo, why do you feel the need to belittle people who are trying to help with the skills they have? In this case you end up displaying your own lack of knowledge. Personally I would use GIMP!

Also... why faith mission? There are plenty of groups out there that are without "exclusive" beliefs that uphold Jesus. ................
"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest",
Jesus is still offering rest. And if we will be bold enough to forsake the vain-glorious religious ways of men and keep Jesus' commandments instead, we will find it.

As far as I am aware the faith mission is still active. Going around in conjunction with local churchs (in this area anyway) holding tent missions. Last one I saw was about 1yr back, in a field, looked like convention! They also use halls as well, one is located near us and recently rebuilt. We are friendly with someone who used to be a preacher with the faith mission, referring to there time in the 'work' .

Quote ithascome.... "Having finally accepted Christ.... Did you not accept Christ as a 2x2... if not.... why not? "
This may sound strange but i didnt actually know how to "get saved" as a 2x2 other than to become professing and mayb have salvation (too works focused). I dont know if I just wasnt listening good or what but I didnt really understand. But it wasnt until I left, talked to other christians, then read lots and prayed lots that it was revealed to me; Jesus IS the way, didnt come to SHOW the way... He IS The way. I do believe some of the 2x2 are Christians (have accepted Christ into their hearts- I can see the fruit of the spirit in some of their lives), but what made me realise I couldnt continue with them once I found Jesus was that they are "exclusive". I dont know how it is else where but where I am from professing people are encouraged NOT to read books about the bible (bible itself only) encouraged not to have friendships with those in "false ways" (false being outside 2x2- so they reject other CHristians) and not to listen to Christian music... perhaps these are control methods... perhaps not. I just want to have fellowship with other people who have Jesus in their hearts, who have His joy and His peace, thats what Im looing for in a Church/fellowship

Hello Searching,
I wrote to The Faith Mission in B.C., Canada a few years ago. It is not an organized church, but an organized mission organization. It encourages people from various denominations to become involved in evangelism while maintaining their relationships with their personal choice of denomination.
There are many very good churches out there. There are others which are exclusive too. When I began searching for a place to worship and fellowship, I would always ask this question right at the start:
"Do I need to belong to this church to be saved? And do you believe this church is the only right way?"
If the answers were anything but an unhesitant "No" and "No", I would continue my search elsewhere.
There are many churches which are not exclusive, but you still may not feel at home in them. It will take time to deal with unfamiliar rituals, or even ones that have been condemned in your past experience. Take your time and work through each obstacle, considering each one to be a stepping stone of your spiritual growth and understanding. You will end up agreeing with some and disagreeing with others and that is perfectly alright. The beauty is that you and God are working together to establish what He desires in and through YOU.
Don't be afraid of a church that has a "name". Names are only there for the purpose of identification for others and for government purposes. There are many things Jesus did or did not do that we are not required to build a doctrine around.
Bottom line...trust God. He knows already right where He wants you to be. He will direct your path. He loves you and desires for you to be nurtured and discipled in Him. I'm sure He also has a purpose and a plan for your involvement in the body of Christ, especially at the local fellowship level to start with.
Praying for you and trusting Him with you...
Blessings, Linda
