I know professing women often hate to be asked the name of their church. They don't have a consistent name! Many names yet no name! They say Jesus didn't take a name so "why should his people take a name!" When the friends are asked about the name of their group, they pause and stammer! They dread to tell the worldling that their way is God's way because the worldling/outsider won't believe them! Unless your eyes are open to this way, you cannot understand. Workers need to come up with a name and stick to it so professing ladies can feel comfortable discussing their faith. Professing women cannot hide their religion because of the dress and bun thing.

The "I'm so glads"! Ha, this is unreal. I have only attended 2 maybe 3 "Meetings" and I have thought to myself how uninspired their testimonies and prayers were..everyone uses the same words, populted with one maybe 2 of their own...almost seem prescripted..always begnning with "I'm so glad"...

I AM SO GLAD!.
Does anyone have a problem with that?
And who needs a name? Jesus said He wants a PEOPLE FOR HIS NAME(to bear HIS NAME).Professing women should NOT have any problem telling this to anyone. What do you tell anyone when they ask you what you are/believe? Does telling them some "made-up name "make you feel better?

Does telling them some "made-up name "make you feel better? In theory, there is no difference between in theory and in practice, but in practice, there is a difference. As long as the Friends are isolated, they can tell each other this no-name theory, and it sounds pretty good. The problem arises when the Friends encounter some inquiring soul from outside the group. No wonder they often become flustered, in practice. Imagine an "outsider" saying to one of the Friends, "That's great, I feel the same way. I bear His name (Christian),and I am one of His people, and I profess Him as my Savior and Lord. I want to meet with your group on Sunday morning and have fellowship and share the Emblems." Now the confusing part begins. The Friend has to try to explain why this person has to profess through a Worker before he can be recognized as a participating member of the group? a recognized member of the organization? a valid Christian? Of yeah, right! We only bear His name, but your bearing His name doesn't count in our group!

I'm so glad when Jesus said.. [It is finished]. it not only fulfilled prophesy but by enduring to the end he suffered and took our sins upon himself so we could be worthy. I do have a problem with it if it comes with an expression of being special.. I'm so glad that God showed me this way. I'm so glad were not like the worldly churches, I'm so glad we don't have to entertain like other churches.

sad the "hope" is misplaced as in: "I'm so glad the workers came to my town, my door, my home..."
Have you ever heard anyone testify, "I'm so glad that Jesus died for my sins, in my place, and has gone to prepare a place for me,
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness!

Right. That is called exclusivist mindset.
I was not allowed to share a testimony in meetings and the emblems were passed right by me because I had not "professed" in this church. Funny thing, I had confessed my need for Jesus and professed Him as my Lord and Savior and became infused with His Holy Spirit at a very young age. Looonnnnnggg before a visit to any of these meetings. I have always lived a life with faith in Christ and have been "born again, " from a very young age because my parents taught me about having a PERSONAL RELEATIONSHIP with Jesus.
The Bible says we are to be "BORN AGAIN" - Jhn 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Interesting that the 2x2's do not teach this, as this is what the Bible says we have to do. I've NEVER heard anyone in this chruch say they are "born-again." Some I questioned about this and they did not EVEN KNOW what I was talking about.
S-C-A-R-Y!!!! That is the core element of faith!
If faith accountability is between Christ and myself, as it is HE I profess to be the LORD of my life, there is NO ONE who can try to convince me my "profession" has to be thru them and their ministry.
.
I cannot think of a more "wordly" way of thinking and preaching then to teach exclusivity, partiality and human mediation to God as this 2x2 church teaches.
Their teaching is more "wordly" simply by teaching it is the efforts of man......living a homeless lifestyle as a minister... that makes one worthy and that people have to "profess" thru them to be able to have a relationship with God.
It's one of the biggest LIES I have ever encountered in my life and people are brain-washed into believing this is true. It, in fact, is un-theological man-made doctrine.
2x2's teach LIES. You can get mad at me or dislike me, but God's word holds more weight and truth than what any group of people do. God does not say you are to "profess" thru an intinerant minister to have salvation. God does not say you have to meet in a home to have salvation and God does not say you have to follow man-made rules to have salvation.
2x2's teach all of this and they are LIES!!!
God says it is ONLY by Jesus we are saved. God says you must be born-again with Christ's spirit to be saved. God says that ALL who come to Christ and profess Him alone as Savior ARE saved. God also says it is a FREE GIFT that only requires faith and a repentant heart.
I've experienced all four and there is not church or body of people that can tell me otherwise or tell me that I am "worldly" because I not become a part of their group, having not "professed" thru an intinerant worker.
IT is by GRACE from God as a FREE GIFT that you receive salvation, by the LORD JESUS CHRIST ALONE.
No pattered minister is your salvation and to "profess" that anyone other than Jesus Christ alone as being "whe way," is a very scary thing to do.
"Professing" to a group of people is not salvation. I think many people are being led to eternal loss with in belief system.
That is playing fire and chancing eternal seperation with God when one "professes" to anyone or anything other than Jesus Christ alone.
All I can say is beware and read God's word because what 2x2's teach, as to leading to eternal salvation, is not aligned with God's word and what He says we must do.

RE: Jesus said He wants a PEOPLE FOR HIS NAME (to bear HIS NAME)
Where is the scripture for this? I can't seem to find it; mayve I'm looking in the wrong place? I find: Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
What does this verse meant to you? That Jesus is the ONLY Savior? That his people shouldn't take a name for their group?

How about if we call them the Faithless Iceburgers? They judge everything by the 10% they see
They say if the inside is clean so will the outside be
They give no heed to the words of Jesus
They love to polish themselves up for the sake of their vanity and to convince you of their rightousness and the rest of God's creations wrongfulness.
Other churches collect and do something with their money, feed hungry people, build churches, daycare, orphanages, schools, misssionary work. Visible things. The Faithless Iceburgers on the other hand...........
NO visible works nada, and proud of it? All the money goes to their coffers never to see the light of goodwill, compassion, and Love. No that money is for the workers needs alone. Now that is just another of the many evils lurking within this "special ministry" where the struggles are few and the money is abundant (for the workers needs) for the convention resorts. Oh the struggle of deception is a huge burden on these poor homeless camel swallowers. Don't worry about what people can't see, just make sure you set a good example.............(play the part)
God see's the whole iceburg and will judge what is not seen by the eyes and flesh. Just like our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus said he does.
2x2....impressed with themselves God...? Bible..? what does it say about those who bear witness to themselves?

Non denominational - is that being honest?
The 2x2s are a denomination. A denomination has several meanings, one being a sect. They have a set of beliefs, a leadership etc. They are a denomination in every sense of the word whether they take a name or not.
Non denominational means to me a Christian who does not belong to any group. The 2x2s are a group and membership in the form of professing is required to belong to the group.

Claiming "non-denominational" is being as a snake. And that is not wise as a serpent and harmless as doves. Claiming such is meant to decive.
The workers and their friends are a pseudo-christian sect all on to their own. There might be some weak Christians in it that fear losing place in family and/or fellowship if they speak out of their true conviction.

Of yeah, right! We only bear His name, but your bearing His name doesn't count in our non-denominational group! That non-denominational reply is meant to satisfy the questioner, hoping that a satisfied questioner will press the issue no further. Why would someone who actually believed that they possessed the knowledge of the only true Way want to dismiss a questioner in such a manner? Wouldn't they rather welcome an opportunity to expand on their beliefs, rather than rejoicing in the fact that they were able to satisfy the questioner? Look within, and try to be honest with yourself. You are relieved when the questioning stops. Why? Could it be that you are relieved for your own sake, and at the expense of another's soul? What do you really believe? Take it out and look at it. Shouldn't you be rejoicing at an opportunity to wittiness?

Names cause confusion ! For instance, I DID NOT make the above two posts ! Now if I didn't have a name there would be little chance of associating those posts with myself !

I want to start my entry with "hello" to all of you..
I grew up in a wonderful loving home. My parents were never the smartest in worldly dealings, but were the best of examples as a father and a mother. My parents worked very hard in many ways to keep everything they believed in, and worked for, a reality.
I grew up learning what it meant to be kind, loving, outgoing, and accepting of others. I grew up going to meetings. More than i could ever describe in this entry, meetings were the warmest most spiritual gathering i have ever been around. That is what i knew growing up, and because of that i feel able to continue writing my message.
I haven't regularly attended meeting's for quite some time. When i stopped attending meetings, I never stopped feeling in my heart what i felt when i went to meetings. I have met many wonderful people from all kinds of backgrounds with different beliefs.
My heart has never changed from what i felt growing up. The only difference is i haven't attended meetings regularly for a while. And even though i haven't attended meetings regularly, I still have a soft heart.
Today i received a phone call from a brother worker I have known my whole life. He asked me if I would like to meet up with him and his companion for a visit. I was ecstatic to meet, which i promptly did. The visit was very warm and special. I left the visit today with a gleam of happiness and a sense of amazement. Many people have been praying for me. THANK YOU!!
My heart is softer today than it was yesterday. Thanks to all for your fellowship. I look forward to seeing your friendly faces this summer at "convention"
Thanks again for your prayers for the not so strong......................................................

What is nondenominational Christianity? Much of what is refered to as "nondenominational" is actually "interdenominational." What's the difference? "Interdenominational" accepts all beliefs, "nondenominational" rejects all man-made doctrines and strives to follow only what the Bible teaches.
Does it really matter? Jesus says it does. Notice what He has to say in passages such as Matthew 7:21-23 and Mark 7:6-9.

Many mormons feel the same way as you do about their fellowship. The problem is they do not teach the real Christ or teach that salvation is only by God's grace, not fellowship association.
You can be assured if you met with the workers and told them about a new church you were attending and how wonderful the spirit of Christ is felt there, they would not be so warm. Nor would they encourage you to continue in the othe fellowship.
2x2 breeds and teaches partiality and exclusivism, not to mention holds a very legalistic environment.
2x2 ministers do not teach how to be born-again. They teach how to follow them and how important it is to maintain membership. That is not having freedom in Christ.
If you liked it so much, I find in interesting that you did not maintain consistant attendance.
