Cherie,
Could you give a very short summery of who William Irvine was as a man and preacher? I'm not asking for facts, but rather your personal opinion of the man... was he a powerful and overbearing preacher, or perhaps a slick and shifty con man, or perhaps a crazy madman who focused his madness on Jesus.... Or was he a humble honest and caring minister of God?
As someone who has spend a great deal researching the history of the fellowship, your take on WI will be most insightful.

For the purpose of bashing, offending and justifying, of course.

C'mon Bert. You do your fair share of Irvine bashing. He's no favourite of yours. A blight on the landscape.
Go on, you give it a go ?

For the purpose of bashing, offending and justifying, of course. Maybe bert has turned over a new leaf and recognizes William Irvine's role as the founder of the church bert attends. That being done, now bert will take it upon himself to defend the man who started his church, William Irvine.
