MMW: From what has been written on this board, it appears the notification would have gone out to all the friends, whether or not it came from Lyle. Maybe Lyle didn't have much choice in the matter...?? Maybe he was over a barrel??
Maybe someone else would have sent out a notification letter. Juliette wrote on this board that in their meeting with Lyle & Craig she advised "Lyle that I would like the notification to families to come from him, but that if it didn't, I would take the next steps myself. Lyle seemed open to sending out the letter and saw the value of doing so. He seemed to have no objections to the letter I drafted."
Maybe Lyle was required by Law to notify his congregation...?

Lyle Schober probably thought that telling the friends about Tim Severud and sending a letter about the situation to the friends was a good idea. Mark my words: It wasn't. I'm sure he thought he was doing what was best but he should have thought it through a little more before he took action. Now don't misunderstand me. I am not defending Tim. I am simply objecting to the way the workers handled the situation once Tim was in custody. What Tim did was wrong, and the authorities have him in their custody now. Once Tim was in custody, the workers should have dropped the issue. But no, instead they decided to make Tim a public spectacle. As a result of this, all kinds of problems appear on the horizon: Hundreds of the friends that didn't know, and didn't need to know, about Tim now know. Now they're curious about something that is not edifying to their souls and, for many, is something that will spur them to start asking questions and searching the internet. Eventually, they will end up learning way more about the Truth than is necessary. Their lives will become a poisoned mess, fraught with pointless debates, quarrels, and controversies like those on this website. This is so sad and it's going to backfire. Mark my words. Are you kidding? His name and picture should be in the newspapers and news report all over the state!!! Every one of us are responsible for the children among us! As a parent, a grandparent, an aunt, and a friend to numbers of children, I would need to know about this guy in order to do MY job of protecting them. Lyle didn't send out too many letters, and hopefully this state has a register that TS will have to register on if he is found guilty! E

I am not sure if you have to register in MN if you are found guilty or not... it is a very liberal state... so it may be acceptable behavior and he may get a place in politics once he serves his time...
sorry that was not nice... oh well... them that don't proclaim to have morals can do what they want and no one cares... but just let one that tries to present himself as a good person and then falls into sinful behavior... they are condemned and held up for stoning. What a wonderful world we live in. NOT
