The free person in Christ and the rebellious will always look the same to those who labor under religious obligation, because both ignore the conventions that govern men and women. But there is a major difference between the two. The rebel does it to serve himself and his passions, always harming others in the process and leaving a wake of anarchy behind him. The free person in Christ, however, does so because they no longer have a need to serve themselves. Having embraced God's love at a far deeper level than any method of behavioral conformity will touch, they will guard that freedom even if it means others will misunderstand their pursuits. They reject the conventions of control not to please themselves, but Father Himself. lifestream.org/LsPassion.html

Just thought some might be interested in Wayne Jacobson's travel schedule. If he's in your area, you might enjoy hearing what he has to say, and maybe passing on to the board your view. You could gather a few together...even just two or three, and invite him to join you when he's in your area. lifestream.org/travel.htmlBlessings, Linda

Ken, many thanks for your post. I appreciate it very much because for some time now I have been thinking much the same things.
We have heard in the past that it is important to follow the "example life of Jesus." This statement is true but has been mis-interpreted by some, often retrained and "controlled" by the commandments of men. To me following the example life of Jesus is fully and "freely" contained within the two main commandments that Jesus gave us, i.e.
1) To love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and
2) To love our neighbour as ourselves.
These two commandments "are" Jesus. They describe him fully to a tee and they are a good example to "follow" providing for the freedom of his spirit.
