Workers love to preach about keeping a right spirit. Ron Thomke says it is uglier for a child of God to have a wrong spirit than someone in the world, according to some notes posted from McCordsville IN convention in the past.
Yet workers often brag about winning an argument with a worldly preacher or someone else.
One year at Yellow Springs OH convention, a brother worker bragged about having a run in with a lady at the post office and the crowd roared with laughter.
Double standard? Workers are above the mortals called THE FRIENDS who are above the mortals called worldly people?

leopard, It's not right for anyone to have the wrong spirit. (But...at times...we all do). That's why we need to keep praying: and need to keep striving--to overcome our own nasty human spirits and have the spirit of Christ instead. Some succeed at this better than others. (I can only wish that I was one of them! ). Meanwhile, all we can do is try...and try again...to be overcomes ourselves. And forgive (or help) and give understanding to others, as they need to grow too.
