POTS=Preserved of the saints belief You mean , Perseverance of Saints... False... False... False... Did you not read the different between the 2nd and 3rd list in the above post? Why do you say they are the same when they are clearly different.

Once saved is always SAVED and Preservance of the Saints are false doctrines, You are correct on OSAS... However you are incorrect on POTS, and the verses listed above clearly show this to be the case...

fmofthe2x2s, I'm wondering if you could explain something to me. I've been dead set against Calvinism, but the truth is, that may be because I don't understand it very well, and maybe it bothers me so much because there are some aspects of it that make sense to me, just not all aspects. I have a couple of sincere questions. Is POTS the same us the TULIP theory? Also, when you say the saints MUST persevere, and the saints WILL persevere, this sounds contradictory to me. In one, it seems as though the saints have the choice of persevering, and in the next, it sounds as they don't. It confuses me. I guess the thing is, before I completely disregard a teaching as false, I should be open-minded enough to learn about it first, right?

Hello Bert, It really grates that professing people are mislead in this thinking and deception. That people who left meetings left God and went Awol. Jesus Christ is the way not the meetings. Looking back I think they think like this because it is the easy answer as to why a person left. It is easier to say 'that person never had it,' or ' she always sat on the fence because she didnt speak in meeting' etc. Instead of going to the person and trying to help them. Yep, I am being critical.

Are we taking about the Fence or within the Kingdom of God?
True Faith creates Works. Continued Faith creates continued Works.
Looking back creates a "Pillar of Salt".

I would have you read/listen to John Piper... www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/Seminars/1727_TULIP/Pots is the P in Tulip... I think we can both agree that in order to be saved we must persevere to the end... The bible clearly teaches this... But on the other hand, the bible also teaches the elect will persevere to the end... That God will ensure this... So in order to reach heaven, we must persevere and through the power of God we will do just that... The elect must and will... simple as that... If you really want to know and really want to understand, then I would have you listen to John Piper via www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/Seminars/1727_TULIP/I really enjoyed listening to it...
