What a great convention! The spirit of God was definitely felt by everyone I visited with. Can you say anything more abbout it? Did you have a revealation? Did you learn something? Why do the 2x2 generalize so? Thats some pretty limp testimony for four days of listening!

Baptism was explained by Wayne Hutchison. What each step represents. None of us have ever heard this explained before. Only three were baptized. I really feel that this small convention was spirit driven from the start. The one woman that got baptized was really a nice professional lady, and her testimony was exceptional. She has a great sense of humor and addressed the topic of "dying to self" guess she was told she had to address the topic before her baptism. I was told by someone who meets in her group that she is always that in depth during testimonies. She really has the spirit.

Your lips move but you say nothing! I want some "real" testimony"! Not a bunch of gushing drivel! Why are you telling us this? Do you have food for us? Or just more poop?

Saying this in the nicest possible way. Ruthie... I do not think the TMB is the place for you. You seem to be very happy with your place and your faith within the 2 by 2 church. If you come her you will be bombarded again and again with doctrine which is not edifying to your beliefs. If i were you I would turn around and leave now.

When someone has something positive to say, why do we need to criticize that. Can't we just be happy for them?

I know of this lady Marylyn, I know her family, or at least a couple of her brothers. I also know that she had an aunt that died many years ago and left her a bunch of money. She just invested it and never let on that she had anything. About 5 years ago, her accountant told her that she needed to spend some of it, and she decided to build a log home. However, she first spent a lot of the money on her family and she realized that they began to beg, borrow, and steal. Think her family has just about drove her totally over the edge. I also know she has heart problems and that has made her search out the one and true church. She is special, she is loved by all that meet her, and she is now a true saint. God bless her and all that get to know her. The workers should really get to know this lady.

Because it sounds vague and worthless to the listener. Ruthie could dig down a little and come up with something straght from God, but she is piddeling in the puddles of the 2x2 mirage. I Love Ruthie92 !!

What a great convention! The spirit of God was definitely felt by everyone I visited with. Did they tell the truth about the history and that it is NOT the only way to Heaven? That is the only reason I want ever want to go - to hear the truth.......

I, too, would like to hear more of what you learned at Convention and more about the various testimonies.

Ruthie92, I would be happy with specifics, but I'm REALLY happy that you enjoyed it.
Dear godluvsme2, I listen to Christian Radio all the time and I NEVER hear a preacher on there discuss their church's origin or ever mention that their church is not the only way. Nor do I expect it. After all, I want to feed on things that encourage spiritual growth, not pig out on mistakes of the past.

It's worthless that someone had a positive religious experience and just wanted to share that feeling? It didn't sound worthless to me. I thought, "how nice that someone felt the spirit of God today." Who cares if it's a 2x2 church? I'm just happy that someone felt reached. Talking about the "puddles of the 2x2 mirage" sounds a little judgmental to me and isn't that what we get upset with the 2x2's about? Maybe we need to be a little more accepting too.

Not only are you quite witty, but you abound with common sense (is this usual for a pirate?). ;D
