Nobody was baptised today at Salvisa KY convention. None. I think the main speaker Sunday morning was disappointed as his sermon was about baptism. Two years ago, the same thing happened. No growth there? Nobody worthy of baptism. The head worker won't baptise teens!! And they wonder why the fellowship isn;t growing. Takes a mental giant to figure that one out?

Perhaps the head worker there sees something that other do not. When I was a teen people got baptized because that was the thing to do at that age. Hit 16 years old, and your parents start nagging you. So are you thinking about baptism this year. Are you thinking about baptism this year. The first convention goes by. Oh its a shame you didn't get baptized at this convention. There is two left. you could still make your choice. The second convention goes by. Your parents become distraught. They begin talking about all your friends that got baptized already. Why haven't you?!?!?!?!?! Then... The third convention. You step in the water because everyone else is doing it and you want to get your annoying parents off your back. ARRRRHHHHHH Perhaps making people wait, they can truly come to the realization of the commitment they are actually making when they become baptized. Anyway, how many teens do you think professed because there friends were and it was what is expected when you turn like 13. I think young friends need time to figure out who they are, and what their service to the lord REALLY is. Many profess and get baptized, and then end up leaving anyway and taking their own way like the prodigal son. At least this way they can be t he prodigal son first, then come back and make their choice.

Nobody at salvisa. One at Sharon. Wild growth. I don't know how many were baptised at Yellow Springs OH.
Irving Ross and Glenn Gasser need to ask themselves why their fellowship isn't growing!!
