As treasurer of the MABB (Mothers Against Bad Buns) society, I am outraged at the lack of accountability amoung the average American citizen who shows little knowledge of his or her Bible awareness.
WHERE ARE YOUR BIBLES! This is serious. When the average American cannot find Ecclesiastes in the Bible we have a serious crisis. How will we ever know the wisdom of Solomon if we close our hearts and minds to that which God so desperately has tried to impart through His Holy Scriptures?
What will we EVER do? For the Bible contains everything a man or woman might ever want to know. Wisdom, fear and mercy intertwined. A woven tapestry of American values set apart in ancient text. If we throw our Bibles down the DRAIN of HOPE, what will become of future generations? For our great nation was founded upon the principles of love and freedom the Bible so eloquently espouses.

Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There Is a Season) The Byrds
- words adapted from the Book of Ecclesiastes chap 11 by Pete Seeger - music by Pete Seeger
To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep
To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to build up, a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones A time to gather stones together
To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time of war, a time of peace A time of love, a time of hate A time you may embrace A time to refrain from embracing
To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time to love, a time to hate A time of peace, I swear it's not too late!
Great Song!!!

LOVE Bob Seeger.......
As the treasurer of MABB, can you please report to us how to report Bad Buns? I noticed several SWBB (Sisters With Bad Buns) at convention last weekend and was hoping we might send a rescue team for some professing makeovers!!

You got it!! It would be a hit.........if only ABC knew. I can see it now, cameras in the womens dorms at convention.....capturing the before and after. Then... the grand entrance into the meeting tent/barn with all the saints crying tears of joy! Or MAYBE- a very large camper with the overseer and a mike..."Friends and Workers!! Move that camper!!"
The masses would be tuned in and loving it!

LOVE Bob Seeger....... As the treasurer of MABB, can you please report to us how to report Bad Buns? I noticed several SWBB (Sisters With Bad Buns) at convention last weekend and was hoping we might send a rescue team for some professing makeovers!! First, of all go to the source. Confront the person with bad buns, gently, but firmly. If no improvement is seen in a reasonable amount of time, start the chain of command with your area MABB board of trustees; No results there?, I presume you know how to contact your local ELDER. If you don't, you need to get with the program and find out! If you get no response or undesired results from your local elder, go to the workers in your field without delay. The longer you put this on the back burner the more those buns will get cooked. Then we may have to start Mothers Against Burnt Buns-: What a tragedy. So take action. If you get no results with the workers in your field, go to the overseer. Remember: if you are doing the right thing from the goodness of your heart to benefit the kingdom, it'll be okay. God knows your heart and everything that's in your heart. Mankind might misread your intentions, but God always knows. Best of luck. And don't forget to read your Bible and pray! Remember also, that you may not see the results you want any time soon. Some buns are hard to crack.

BUT...Ms Mary, what if the elders wife is the one with the atrocious Fly Away BUN? And, the sister workers, they have REALLY Bad Buns too. As a matter of fact, Sister A has a difficult time wahing her hair so therefore, she has the OILY Bun syndrome. What to do? Seems to me we have a Bun dilemma.

Where in the world is Velma Sue? She would know what to do..... Oh, Velma Sue where are you? Velmasue was shunned, banned and then officially EX-communicated from TMB earlier this year. Since that time, she has been abroad working as a homeless fashion consultant. The last we heard she was stopped by Papal Police at the Vatican because they thought she was stalking the Pope with a seam-ripper. Little did they know, Velma is merely a fashion--head. She eats, sleeps and drinks fashion 24/7. She even dreams about fashion. Buns are low priority for her, tho I think she may have a few opinions about hair. She is fascinated with fashion to the point of obsession. The Pope's attire has recently captured her interest.
Velma took her concerns of being ex'd from the TMB to the SOTS board of trustees. We listened, but there was little we could do to plead her case. She was told by the administrator that she would have to make a public show of repentence in order to have posting privileges fully reinstated. We at SOTS think maybe she is just troubled.

I am not familiar with fly away buns, but MABB by-laws do not support the respecting of persons, irregardless. We at MABB wish to impart fair and just treatment to all people: young, old, female, male, regardless of race, color, pedigree or creed. We do not discriminate. WE believe in equal opportunity bun rescue and makeovers. Our motto: Bad Buns Must Be Rehabilitated.

Ms Mary: What if I wear my hair down to convention? Or in a pony tail? I promise to take my Bible nad hymnbook and take notes! Sophie Dear: I feel most certain that you would be welcomed at convention regardless of hairstyle, notepad or hymnal. DO bring your Bible so that you can look up verses & verify that the workers are preaching sound doctrine and not just fly by night ideas taken out of context. Context is the almighty divider of truth! It sounds as though you are of an earnest peaceful spirit and pure heart, dear, so your presense at convention would be most fitting. Jesus came to save sinners. We are all sinners, aren't we, regardless of our status in the church or our hair length & style. But sinners are often so desperate for relief from God that they are sometimes the most earnestly seeking souls. Sinners have a deep, yearning, need and where there is a need, God loves to respond. Just as we are all in differing phases and different steps on Jacob's Ladder, so too will our hair differ from person to person. God can work with an honest and soft heart dear, have no fear. Please do not let your hair be a deterrent from getting closer to God and divine fellowship. Best to you.

Mary... i was wondering though if you have a really HIGH bun.... does that mean that you are closer to God? I fear there is no humanly finite method to VERIFY how close one really is to God. Only God knows how close one is to God. HIGHness of the bun as an indicator of closeness to divinity-: I have never heard such doctrine promoted. I have heard that some people prefer tight buns, and some people find them distasteful. I venture a guess that it depends upon the type of hair and the shape of the head, the ears, as well as degree of difficulty in making various buns. Some buns that appear quite intricate are actually rather simple. Some buns are overdone and some buns show simple elegance which further serves to enhance a woman's overall style. Some buns are gothic and some are monolithic. The Sisters Of Temperence are all about promoting purity from within.

I was 13yrs old my cousins and I went to preps to help for the day. A female worker came up to me and asked me to put my shoulder length hair up. I was so upset she had told me off. My Mum told me I didnt need to do that I was too young. One sunday my girlfriend put myhair up in petals for fun. An elderly worker Aida Sedamen whom I had dearly loved as a child shook my hand at the door and asked "is this......... ?" with such a disapproving look. I was so upset at her words and the look. Then she rebuked me "you look like a film star" . As a teen it devastated me. I felt I had hurt her in some way. We went back to preps the following yr and Willie Finn [head sherang] told another fem worker to come and tell me to take my hair down!!!!! I couldnt believe why I was being targeted. It seemsed so hideious. I couldnt please anyone. I grew up always worrying what people think. Sometimes I struggle with it now. But Im way more blunt and outspoken. As Im sure you have noticed . Lol

Great Song!!! nitro Is Pete Seeger any relation to Bob Seeger? Don't know, but they are both songwriters. Against the Wind Words and Music by Bob Seger It seems like yesterday But it was long ago Janey was lovely, she was the queen of my nights There in the darkness with the radio playlng low And the secrets that we shared The mountains that we moved Caught like a wildfire out of control Till there was nothing left to burn and nothing left to prove And I remember what she said to me How she swore that it never would end I remember how she held me oh so tight Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then Against the wind We were runnin' against the wind We were young and strong, we were runnin' against the wind And the years rolled slowly past And I found myself alone Surrounded bv strangers I thought were my friends I found myself further and further from my home And I guess I lost my way There were oh so many roads I was living to run and running to live Never worried about paying or even how much I owed Moving eight miles a minute for months at a time Breaking all of the rules that would bend I began to find myself searchin' Searching for shelter again and again Against the wind A little something against the wind I found myself seeking shelter against the wind Well those drifters days are past me now I've got so much more to think about Deadlines and commitments What to leave in, what to leave out Against the wind I'm still runnin' against the wind Well I'm older now and still Against the wind

Ms. Mary, My bun seems to sag. What should I do? You could prop it up properly with the politically correct bobby pins. Best of luck to thee in finding politically correct bobby pins in this day and age. It is rather difficult, I am afraid. Tis the reason the saggy baggy and messy bun 'look' is ever more in fashion amongst today's young folk. But a politically correct bun will help you climb Jacob's Ladder and get in position to maybe run for overseer's wife someday of field president. Tootsie, are you into campaigning? You might be the type, if you are worried about saggy, baggy buns. Just remember, when on that campaign trail, a good handshake, smile and appropriate eye contact will win many an undecided vote!
