A wife can certainly be a beneficial addition to one's existence, but the wrong wife will bring strife to one's life. Just as children do not save marriages, the presense of a wife does not always bring fullfillment or happiness. Remember Paul the Apostle's teachings, which the SOTS endorse. He recommended singledom, not because marriage was bad, but because he fore saw that marriage brings many troubles. Why is the divorce rate so high? Do you have an answer for that? No, you don't. But Paul understood this 2 milleneums ago. He was a wise, fervent and zealous man. Be careful what you wish for.

Mary... are you single by chance? I think you might make a good wife for me? Oh no wait... i forgot about ole Abe! Will he be kickin' the bucket anytime soon? I do believe this is an indecent proposal! My ever loving stars of atrocity! What is happening to society?! I look around me and I see outrage upon outrage.

"If a lady is of the married state, and she wishes to keep her husband in good pleasure" What i'd like know Mary is: How is the husband keeping HER in good pleasure? ?? :-) It is RUDE to talk about someone as they are not present.

Could focusing too much on appearance cause one to go overboard? Maybe the workers are encouraging rebellion in young girls? Rebellion can be encouraged unwittingly. But my stars, have you tried to bring up children in this new Milleneum? For pity's sake, what is most important? The existence of computers in every professing home, compete with wide screen DVD surround sound speakers and everything the INTERNET offers or pressuring young girls to adopt convictions they do not truly posess as a results of the HOLY SPIRIT manifesting in one's body? Not only does that promote rebellion now or LATER, it promotes resentment and division. Clothing should be a reflection of a person's character or merely a practical reflection of what one is doing. Promoting an outward conformity, while giving the inward second place is a grave mistake, I fear. We have a saying in SOTS: A lady's inner being should NEVER take a backseat to the outward appearance. TEMPERENCE! One may wear a bun in one's hair or put on a dress any time they wish. It does not mean they have the "right spirit". SOTS promotes the right spirit first principle.

In 2007, Ray Hoffman, the head worker of Florida, was preaching about suffering. About how professing children suffer in school because of their "appearance". and how it is in us to shun suffering. What is the appearance of a true child of God? Dresses and buns for women? I have heard workers recently mention our appearance. Would they give a specific answer? Strange that RH was raised in a denominational church and yet badmouths the religious world. He went as far as to say that "the religious world talks a lot about Jesus but they don't know Jesus". He said they aren't willing for His Spirit!!! I think the most exclusive workers are promoted to the position of overseer/head worker. That is too bad that workers are still speaking about superficial things like appearance of children in school. I mean how can an 8 yr old professing kid look worldly? Becuase she has on little kid jeans instead of a little kid skirt. I wish they would just focus on major biblical topics not sperfical things like hair and articles of clothing. I say if you buy from the gap or walmart your kid will be modest. (:

(: If one is properly aligned with the proper families and authorities with regards to worldly matter(s), one need not concern oneself with whether or not one appears worldly or not. One needs only to have INNER integrity and it will shine forth from one's eyeballs and deep into the inner brain of one's constituents.
Have no fear--: appearances will not disappear.
So, one wishes to focus more on Biblical types of things, does one? My, my. That shouldn't be difficult. But one must concern oneself with one's reputation in the world--: Are you one that appears worldly just because you want to appear in such a way or are you one that appears worldly because it is your unique person? The political world will tolerate fakes. But temperate people concern themselves with how they appear before the Almighty Lord in Heaven above. One is FREE in America to appear as one wishes, providing one is not walking around indecent. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, but when in America, LET FREEDOM RING!
