I didn't stay on the grounds but the person telling me wouldn't lie. Police were called to the Shoals convention grounds according to the report. Two boys were bullying a boy and he called the police. Don't know if bullying was occuring as some kids love to play with the cell phone and get atttention. I wonder if the local paper has any articles about the incident?

five brother workers were also arrested, but it is unknown why at this time, only that it is the result of a long and on going investigation involving leaders of the 2x2 cult, and their practices. one working being led away was heard crying and whining, "please, i was only doing what what i was told. they said it was okay..."

Of the seven policemen that turned out to the call to the convention, five of them stayed to listen to the message, three professed, and one of them now has a meeting in his home.

And the rest of them went on shooting rampages killing all their family because the workers told them they were going to hell because they were RCC and baptist and some other type of Christian. They just could not handle that well.

The police were called on Saturday night from a cell phone. The kid did it as a joke. The car horn went off on Sunday afternoon during the meeting when someone who couldn't wait for 10 minutes until meeting was over has a tow truck come and try to get the car open as they had locked both sets of keys inside.
Now you know the rest of the story.

Let's get to the facts please. Innuendos, and rumors, and allegations are not worth our time. If you have facts that can be verified...then verify them.

Will the caller be charged with a crime for alerting the police? The beeping horn sounded like someone was mad as heck on Sunday evening. Jon Knochenmus finally left the tent...other workers just sat there:)

The horn went off at 3:30 PM, 10 minutes before the last meeting ended. It was the result of a tow truck operator trying to get the doors open after the keys were locked in.
From what I saw, Jon wasn't the only worker out there. Were they all suppose to jump up and see what was going on? Were all the saints suppose to leave and mill around the car as well?

During interview connected with the aforesaid incident, a young "professing" suspect was cautioned by the police as per the standard warning:-
"You are not obliged to say anything, but anything you do say will be noted in writing and may be used in evidence. Do you understand this warning ?"
SUSPECT : "Yes !"
POLICE : "Do you wish to say anything ?"
Before the young lad could answer, about 15 burly brother Workers launched themselves between the Police officers and him and shouted to the young lad to "Say nothing."
" We don't want it to get into the wrong hands !"
There you have it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Will the young man be charged for his prank? I don't know his age. I don't like little tattle tales. Unless the other boys were bullying him.

Is really the issue is that the car was used by some workers and the registered owners were not at the convention. The police really had a tuff time finding out why this car was there. They thought is might have been stolen as the workers had no proof that they had permission to use it. The police thought that those workers were hiding something.

Hey, when I was 15 and at Shoals - the police should have been called! I snuck out with my cousin and boyfriend and we went to town "BoMacs" and then to French Lick. When we got back at 2:00 AM -Jean Berquist met us at the cookhouse as we were trying to sneak back in.
My my, the stories I could tell about the shenanigans at Shoals! I'll save 'em for the movie!

Only for you will I let you in on the best kept secret in Martin County. Bomacs is legendary amongst the meeting folks who descend upon the hills of Southern Indiana in August. At BoMacs you will find the best icecream and malts, cheesburgers and tenderloins. Fine dining served at your car window or at a picnic table that will provide you with long lasting memories every time you visit. Then there is French Lick and what about JUG Rock? It's great being a hoosier!

The Sisters of Temperence were not informed of the debacle because we knew they would not be familiar with "French Lick", "Jug Rock", and what it means to be a "HOOTER girl". Sorry.

Me For those of us short-timers here, what is/are "Bomacs?" How long has Bomacs been around? I lived in So. Indiana for a while as a child and visited there frequently on family trips in the years after we moved. I don't recall Bomacs - just the local Dairy Queens and their yummy ice cream.

BoMacs. On Hwy 50 heading east into Shoals just past the road that goes to French Lick on the left. Old place with a walk up window, they used to come to the car to take your order, and outdoor seating. Great malts and shakes........DQ is further east. Home to some very nice meeting folks!
