Nathan I am very blunt in my statements sometimes. Please dont take it personally. I find when our minds are clouded by the religion we choose sometimes clear truth isnt spoken. Its clouded or covered becomes murky.
quote:7)
Here I was speaking about something I feel passionately about generally across the church world, not targeting any particular group. Id say it to any church leader.
When a person says the word Apostle in my mind this is what I see..to help you understand where I am coming from. An Apostle is like an architect. He gets the vision from God, then he begins to institute the foundation of a local church. With the help of the prophets who's gift is similar of also hearing from GOd, because these 2 ministries do hear from Heaven. So there is plan/direction. Then as people are saved, baptised in water and also baptised in the Holy Ghost. The apostle establishes a local church gathering. He builds the foundation of Christs teaching, nurturing into the people so that they can grow as a new creation in Christ. First feeding them the milk of the word and then the meat of the Word of God. They need protection/ nurturing and fathering/mentoring for a couple of years. Then then Apostle would set up a Pastor to take over and shepherd those people and the Apostle would move on to the next area God called him to. Continuing through time to go back and visit and keep communicating with those people because he loves them like a father. He would make sure he had his finger on the pulse. He would have prayed and fasted with his other leaders for those people and would know the direction that local church was going. There would be all of the five fold ministires plus elders/deacons/ministries of helps and all the church would know their calling and gifting because of the proper way the church/any church is supposed to run.(not talking buildings ..talking people.) This is how I understand the new testament. So any church not functioning this way needs adjustment. Biblically. In my head anyway. Am I judging? Sure. Not you Nathan. A system.
