I have been enjoying meditating on the teachings of Jesus and most specifically His teaching that there is One way.
Is this teaching still recognised as a teaching of Jesus? or is Bill G teaching that all ways are one more the accepted teaching of religious peoples??

There is only one way.....Jesus.
This does not prevent other religions from containing true elements. One of the weaknesses of evangelical theology is that it hasn't really grasped a way to account for other religions. This is not to say all religions are equal and that they all point to the same God...far from it. But the religiosity of humans and the arising of religions is something that needs more discussion. There are some good books which open the discussion from an evangelical perspective. Other traditions, such as Catholicism, have their way of looking at it. The Vatican II council, for instance, issued some comments on the subject. I don't know what Bill G (I'm assuming you mean Billy Graham) has to say about it.

Rob, when you say other religions, you refer to non-Christian religions, correct?

Yes. But I do not mean salvation can be found in other religions. I only mean that truths can be found in other religions. Salvation is only found in Christ. But I think that there are people who find Christ wherever they are. There are many stories of Muslims, for example, who have had dreams of Jesus and responded to Him in faith even though they do not fully understand. But they do understand that their own religion is not sufficient.

I agree with Rob, "Jesus is the way", we need to come together to strengthen eachother "do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together" but its making Jesus our pattern (not attending a certain church that gives us salvation which is why I am currently looking for a non-denominational church. I have located one that believes that their church isnt the only way but all who are filled the holy spirit will be in heaven.

How does one know for sure which groups are filled with the holy spirit?? Is it when others accept creeds other than their own specific creed?? If other creeds are accepted, then why not standardize the creeds?? The only universal agreement I have read is the WCC which has very little of the holy spirit, IMO.

There are no groups filled with the Holy Spirit. It is individuals who have the Spirit. Any group contains a mix of regenerate and unregenerate individuals.

Does seem that one should at least have the right [holy ] spirit, in order to be part of bride. I guess that pretty well describes a heavenly paradise.

Uh does anybody KNOW what is or was in the above post before the linky went bad? ?? k now on topic: I like the following expression: "even a blind hog finds an acorn occasionally" As related to this topic almost every religion will have some element of truth somewhere in their beliefs, the key is to wade through all the garbage and find a group of believers who agree on the CORE principle of Jesus teaching, ergo Jesus is THE ONLY way to heaven.
