Classic science that you go on about didn't stop me from having 1 initial Heart attack then after some working on it 2 more heart attacks. I'd say 50/50 at best.

Wally when you had that surgery your heart had to be stopped. Mine was stopped for 70 minutes. To keep you alive you would have been hooked up to machines that take the place of your heart for that period of time. Those machines were developed because of science. Thank God for science, it saved my life and I would suggest yours.
Thank God for Science.

Thank God for science, it saved my life and I would suggest yours. Thank God for Science. The efforts of scientists have done much for medical advancements and we see the results in Wally's recovery. Science can also help us avoid such predicaments as heart attacks although some are predisposed to them because of genetics. Science does this through advice on diet and exercise. Avoiding fast foods, junk foods, sugar foods, junk liquid such as coke, coffee and alcohol all help us to have a healthy life. (Stout is an exception) Science tells us about the composition of foods and what is good or bad. Ignoring scientific advice on diet to the extent that one becomes obese is asking for trouble. Exercise is very important. Use it or lose it. I try to do at least five hours a week of walking when i am home, hopefully with a few hundred metres of altitude gain. That's about 20km of distance. Making the heart work hard through aerobic exercise is very important. Walking around the block on easy ground is anerobic which does not do much at all and possibly fools people into thinking they are doing something useful. Amen.

We go out three times a day for ball and frisbee and walks but in the house there are two balls in motion a lot of the time.

No, they are not really pals. One is nearly 14, the other just coming up on 2. We thought long and hard about getting the second one, but, in the end, it has turned out quite well. I think the younger one has learned a lot from the older one. We fortunately live on a small farm, so it's pretty much non-stop (unleashed) activity for them both, though we consciously make time for resting/sleeps for the older one now. Neither are allowed balls in the house. I probably would have tolerated it, but hubby is adamant on this point.

We thought of doing that with our older border collie but she got sick and we thought it might be a bit much for her with a young rambunctious pup around. She sure could have taught our new boy some very important things I'm sure. We live in town so it's walks and off leash where we can let him run. We live on a golf course so in the winter he's allowed to just run free there so that like having a pretty back yard too which helps.
