Met the famous or infamous RN of California today. Once I realized that I walked away without another word. He kind of looked a bit under the weather though. Excellent testimony he had. Of all days, the first time I've ever been late to a Sunday Morning. Discovered earlier, that today is NOT Union Sunday. Made it to regular Sunday in time to be 3rd from the last to pray. Made the Union Meeting hosts laugh as I walked up to their home earlier though. Good thing my head is attached.

I do hope that RN is contemplating his actions. I don't envy his position at the moment though. I have so many questions for these overseers that made such horrible decisions to not support survivors. What reality did they live in that they didn't think it would come back to bite them?

Ignorance plays a part. Some people trivialise CSA as a "mistake", "falling into temptation", a "weak moment" etc. They don't understand that CSA is premeditated evil. They prioritise the work of "the kingdom" over integrity and godliness. Worker Tom Young explained it when he said: “that this had happened many times in Canada (workers molesting children), and that the girls get over it and ‘we’ can’t put the workers out, because we have so few workers, and need them so bad.” wingsfortruth.info/2023/07/08/35-years-ago-to-taylor-wood-and-the-church/As Christians we should take a firm stand against evil and in support of victims of evil.

I could believe that it was just ignorance if it was just once. But when overseers receive more allegations and they decide to move the person, and not tell the friends where that worker is going that there are CSA allegations, that is not done in ignorance imo. They knew it was wrong or they wouldn't have moved the worker. I think it's more likely it's the justifying that there already aren't enough workers so we have to keep them so the kingdom can continue. Also to save their reputation is high on the list of why. All of those reasons indicate that they knew it was wrong and didn't do anything. They cared more about their ministry than the people they are supposed to minister to.

This is exactly right, a lack of male workers means the overseers have been letting unrighteousness prevail. We see some of them with their own unrighteousness so why would they However, I think a clean and honest ministry would lead to clean and honest men. Imagine feeling you had to hide CSA instead of freeing the church, that means the good leave and the bad remain.
