The bible says to do everything as unto the Lord. I believe our whole lives should glorify, praise, and worship the Lord.
However, there are times throughout the day when I stop to worship and praise God in a way that lifts me up as well.
We all have different ways of really connecting to God through praise and worship. How do you, personally, do that on a regular basis?
For me, I listen (and heartily sing along) to praise/worship music nearly every morning. It really sets the mood for my day and helps me deal with problems I come across with patience and love.
For me, praying in the morning is not enough, I need this time of worship and praise or else my day is completely off... my fuse is short, my children frustrate me easily, and I'm just not in a "God" frame of mind.

As I read your post... I thought of praying always in the Spirit.
That is hard for me... but I have experienced it and love it. I strive for it each day, but often fall short. When we have the prayerful attitude, it makes it easy to do all things for God. We love him, are thinking of him, and want to glorify his name. It changes the way we interact with others, and react to things that normally would throw us into a real slump.

That's hard for me as well. We were just discussing this in our little bible study group.
It's easy to get caught up in my day, get caught up in my current frustration, and act without thinking... and then I realize how differently it would have gone if I would have had a prayerful spirit.

Sometimes when I am down, or problems are everywhere, I start my prayer with praising God, his creation, his greatness and continue praising him.
When I do that I can always feel my spirits lift and prayer becomes much better than when I continually drop out of prayer, or let my mind wander, to dwell on problems.

I love visiting from church to church, but was told I needed to stop doing that and join one in order to go to Heaven. I need to be baptized is what I am told. I was baptized as a 2x2 and feel that is enough. What are your thoughts? Do we need to join a church and pay 10 percent, or is it okay to just visit and give a little from time to time.
One of the churches I visit from time to time takes the bread and wine every Sunday night. I have passed it over and wonder if I should go ahead and take it? The preacher says if we love what the Lord has done for us, we need to take it. Being a visitor I am not sure. Thanks.

Why not ask God. He is the one that knows.
Follow his prompting. Why did you leave if you were baptized? If you are in a church, are you in God's house, if that is true wouldn't it be his for you to partake of?
Good luck in your search for meaning.

I dont think a "church", as in, a building, is God's house. It's a place for God's people to meet. God does not live in buildings made with hands.
Also, my husband was baptised in the 2x2 and has not been "rebaptised". I have. To him, his baptism is personal and not connected to the 2x2, for me.. mine was an attempt to "go to heaven". I felt I needed to be baptised because I was a certain age, I was a mother, and I felt distant from God. I thought the baptism would... I dont know, clear everything up and make me perfect... I suppose.
My thinking on baptism was WAY off, and I dont think I really KNEW God or had accepted Christ when I was first baptised, so that is why I was baptised in our current church.
I dont see a problem with going church to church. I do believe in giving back, but whether you choose to give to the church you're in that day or to give the money to a certain ministry would be between you and God.
