Q: So how do you know when you aren't a 2x2 anymore? A: When you no longer feel drawn to this site.

An alcoholic can not get any peace of mind due to a constant mental obsession for alcohol. Perhaps ex-2x2s are like that.
Is it possible that we are all born addicts? We are addicted to this site?

The book "Toxic Faith" is a good read, and covers a great deal about addictions off all kinds, including people who use the church or their own faith as an addiction! One important thing for anyone trying to work through addictions is to have a support group with leaders who have "been there and done that". The Boards were my support group when I was leaving the meetings, and I still stay to help others who are realizing their need for the same! Best regards, Edy

Alcoholics go to AA meetings all the time because they know the power in support and because they can share with others who have been through similar experiences. It is not about "not moving on"... it is about being there for others.
