Some of the workers lately have been asking or requesting professing teens to help out a few weeks during preps. I wonder if this is worker training? Letting them see what the work is like? Workers spending time on their knees, a willing and obedient service, working together in unity and the rest.

hmmmmmm.....
perhaps this is another indication of how things are changing in the 2x2 way?
Back in my day, we teenagers eagerly anticipated preps. It was practically the highlight of my week - not the actual physical labor, per se, but the relaxed, fun, almost celebratory atomosphere involved.
I was raised in a divided home and if I knew mom wouldn't be going to preps, I'd not rest 'til I had arranged a ride to the Walla Walla convention grounds.
Yes, there were the dreaded jobs: cleaning the outhouses; vaccuming & moving mattresses but the overall 'fun' of the day superceded grunt work.
So many (not all) of our teens of today, 2x2 & non 2x2 are coddled and indulged. Physical work builds character & preps certainly helps accomplish that.

Or maybe they are inviting them because they could use extra help? Or maybe parents have asked them to invite teenagers to get them moving rather than playing video games all day long?

Up until about 8-10 years ago, teens flocked to preps.... but as time went on, less and less young people go... mainly because some of the conventions in the south were switched to fall during school time, whereas they were easier to attend in the summer.
