You know, "Janet" there are a lot of knowledgeable religious people "out there" who truly amaze me. I listen to statements from the cardinals and pope, from archbishops and evangelists, and I often just hear them saying what their contemporaries want them to say. Many don't even believe in God. Try a few web sites which contain their quotes. They certainly defeat the love of God in their lives.

No. I know that that the majority of well educated ministers, pastors, and such are very strong in the Holy Spirit. Most do not accept what the contemporaries want them to say. They are very firm in beliefs and also very strong in understanding the Word of God. How ever no matter what they do as men in this world will never defeat the LOVE OF GOD. GOD Will not stop loving them. You can accept the LOVE of GOD--Not Defeat You can Reject the LOVE of GOD--Not Defeat You can be confused over the LOVE of GOD--Not Defeat You may not Understand the LOVE of GOD--Not Defeat but you will never -Defeat the LOVE OF GOD The LOVE of GOD Belongs to GOD and man can do nothing to change that. Let me put it another way. If you wage war against God will you defeat GOD or yourself?

Bert, the bible never says that there were women preachers. I do believe women were meant to minister, we ALL were, but, even though you say the bible tells us there were "women preachers" I simply don't see it.
What I dont understand is why the f&w adhere to some things which are mentioned (but not commanded) in the bible, like home meetings, but ignore things which Paul writes about, like women keeping quiet in the church (which is mentioned a couple times), and someone in the church taking a "collection" (also mentioned a couple times).
These inconsistencies are a turn off.
