My worst memory of being a worker is being confused as to why we weren't trying to really help people. I remember reading in the newspaper an article where a man was having Bible studies and needed someone to help play the piano or something. I asked Craig Jacobsen why we didn't go meet them. I mean, here are people wanting to read the Bible, right? He said something about them wanting to be in control of the Bible study or something like that. Hah! I couldn't figure it out then. So much confusion and insanity. They don't give bean air about people's souls. It's all about the cult, that's the bottom line. Brad

Brad, Wow! If that was your worst experience in the work, you had a really easy time of it. Where were you in the work? I'm guessing Montana, cuz I think that's where Craig was. How long were you in the work? Freedom

How long were you in the work? Freedom The confusion was horrible. It really destroyed my health. I was in the work for 1.5 years. First year 89/90 with Randy Russell and second (half year) 90/91 with Craig Jacobsen. I thank God for making me physically sick so that I could get out. Brad

Brad I went to the doctor two years ago and had flu like symptoms. After a complete check up the Dr. told me physically I was fine and put me on some depression medication and all the sick feelings I had went away after about 6weeks.

If hes putting you on medication, then you are obviously NOT FINE. Depression is a disease like any other disease, especially if you need to be medicated for it.

Do you not believe that the Lord works his will in all circumstances. All circumstances which comes into our lives are working towards God's plan for our lives.
If I fell down the stairs I would not curse god for letting me fall down the stairs. But would thank god for bringing me through that situation, and then realize there may be a reason I fell down the stairs. Perhaps God is telling me I need to be more vigilant to were I am going.
In any case, some people do believe that God is working in their lives through a variety of circumstances. I do not think Brad is blaming God for making him sick, but thanking God that he became sick so that Brad could realize that perhaps the situation he was in was not good for his spiritual health.
Remember, the lord works in mysterious ways.

So now you are telling me that Hypothyroidism and Cushings are not disease.... I am hypothyroidism, and I know it is a disease of the thyroid. You can actually have a number of disease which can cause you to have an under active thyroid such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis, celiac, graves disease, cancer, and a number of other causes. Then as far as adrenals go.... It is not normal for your adrenals to produce to much cortisol. Usually if your adrenals are producing to much cortisol, and you become cushingnoid your doctor will look for a cause as to why?!?! you have cushings and what disease is causing it. Is it a primary cause of the adrenal such as an adrenal tumor, or is it a chemical imbalance further up such as a pituitary tumor. And if it is not your thyroid or your adrenals causing the problem, if you have a chemical imbalance it is still a disease which can be caused my a number of things such as an imbalance in chemicals within the brain. The only depression which I would say is not a disease is if you are unhappy because your dog died, but then you should get over this relatively quickly. If it is something you have to be medicated for, then it is a disease process going on. Otherwise, why would you be taking medicine.

Yes a disease of the thyroid or adrenal glands Can put you into depression nitro
Yes I agree as stated above its such a Grey area in away we are both right . Cause and effect. Symptoms of a disease. Many disease can put you into depression. As I was tested my blood work came back neg for any disease related causes of depression. Cabin fever was common in the wild frontier and many trappers would go crazy not seeing the light of day. Not seen so much now because not many wear coon skin hats anymore. I think the modern day version of this is called GOING POSTAL. The common cold is a disease no medicine can cure it. Symptoms can be controlled via medicine.

PS Losing is a disease.
Losing is a disease... as contagious as polio... as contagious as syphilis... as contagious as the bubonic plague... attacking one, but affecting all. The movie "The natural

I think you are getting dangerously close towards the "God is involved in everything" belief. The same belief that makes football teams pray for winning before the game because they believe that God cares about a stupid football game. Do you really believe that God micro-manages every aspect of human life?
