Hello all
Again the curiosity has gotten (I know, poor grammer) to this cat. Some day it just may get me in trouble ;D
I have a few questions about communion. Again, I'll list tham as I think of them. And thanks in advance for all those taking the time to read and answer.
1. If I remember correctly communion was bread(Wonder?) and grape juice(Welches?). 2. Only those professing could partake( I do remember having to pass the plate and really wanting to experience it)? 3. At what point during meetings is it passed around? 4. Is it passed around at every meeting, both Sunday and Wednesday? 5. What is the"official" meaning of communion to the f&W's. IE: symbol, true body and blood etc. 6. And why grape juice instead of wine? 7. And to individuals...what does it mean to you?
Thanks again! Christ's Blessings

They represent eating human flesh and drinking human blood. Cannibalism. Pretty late Iron Age barbarism methinks.

lol...you're milleniums late with this observation. No, the "bread and wine" didn't originate with Christ. It was somehow incorporated into Christianity. But the barbaristic claims didn't derail Christianity back then, either.
So what DID Christ mean by the last supper, and his instruction to remember him? I remember his kindness in feeding the hungry, and offering an equal place at the dinner table to the poor, wretched, sinner, outcast, unclean. That was downright radical.
