The workers often say or hint that they don't need scripture to correct God's people. Because they spend much time "on their knees" and are closer to God than other mortals, they get their instructions from up above. So they don't need scripture to kick people out of the truth or give a worker talk over a broken rule. They have a right (especially head workers/overseers) to make up their own rules without pointing to specific scriptures.

Scripture is secondary to "revelation". Some people say biblical characters didn't have the scriptures to read and yet they had a revelation from above.

You say the workers say they are closer to God than other mortals. They are more than likely much closer to the judgment seat also, so they better watch themselves. They are not immune for the judgment of God.

You are right. The workers don't use scripture to create their messages either. They think of what point they want to make and then look for verses that they think supports their views.
They have always said they don't get their messages by study but by the Spirit.
If you don't think this is true, just look at the next convention notes that they pass around.

Sprinkle in a few bits of scripture here and now to justify this sect as the ONLY true fellowship on the earth!!

Workers have no authority concerning Christians. They can tell people what to do, but only the people that obey them become their slaves. You can ignore them without eternal consequence (other than you're better off concerning God in ignoring them) Brad
