If brad and his approach/attitude/mindset/sentiment/temper/heart represents what it is to be a true follower of Christ... a true Christian... a Child of God... Then I don't want to be one... Count me out...

Count me out... does that include ridicule, making fun of? it's all very well bringing up others faults when you are far from pristine in attitude toward others Before Jesus you are no different than brad, we are all sinners so what right do you feel you have of bringing other sin before God?

Post by Suggestion on Jul 17, 2007 7:18:43 GMT -5
Thought of an idea.
I see Brad as a young man having had a life in the fellowship, which has left bad emotional problems and the poor man is wanting to talk and talk about it. and tell the world of his opinions and feelings and stories etc. There is a process people have to go through to come to closure and talking ones heart out is a huge part.
However, I, like many others feel Brad has taken over the Message Board with all this talking, which is causing annoyance ....... so my suggestion is that a special thread is started BY Brad FOR Brad just to let it all out. If anyone wishes to comment in some kind of empathic way in that thread, then thats good as it might be helpful for Brad. Please NO comments which are non-constructive. But this might be the answer?
Brad, how do you feel about this idea?

It is almost impossible to ignore Brad. It seems that every time the moon changes, he has these out-bursts and satuates the board with his rantings. I do not honestly believe that Brad wants to be like Brad either; but it seems obvious that the experiences he has suffered have made some negative and damaging impressions on his mind. It is conceivable that these out-bursts act as a kind of safety release valve which helps him to cope with stress. So what may appear annoying to others here may very well be theraphy for him. So be tolerant and be patient and above all, be kind to Brad and anyone who is suffering the after effects of bad experiences. keep on praying for Brad folks, prayer is a mighty source of power.

If brad and his approach/attitude/mindset/sentiment/temper/heart represents what it is to be a true follower of Christ... a true Christian... a Child of God... Then I don't want to be one... Count me out... Yes, we thank God that we are not like the fiery big-mouthed sinner Christians who aren't quite sure yet how to handle the magnitude of being saved out of a cult--and are trying to find ways to help their people. Sometimes, we stumble over our own tongues trying to scream across this great chasm . . . that it's US who will fail you every time. That's the whole point of the Gospel! That's why we needed a Savior. Man looks at appearance, though, and the Lord looks at the heart. All through the Bible, God used people exactly like Brad . . . and me. Crazy people. Prostitutes. Lying prophets. Scum of the earth like Moab who came from two daughters having sex with their dad when he was drunk. Jesus came from this line. The dregs of society. The lowest of the low. Between Jacob and Esau . . . Jacob was a lying thieving, rotten skunk, who cheated just about everyone he met. But He was chosen before his bones were knit together in his mother's womb. God knew him, even before that. Sometimes, growing Christians (especially those of us who have just been found by the Great Shepherd) are the worst examples . . . but only trying to tell the ones we love the Truth--the best way we know how. Jesus is the Truth. Men fail to live up to the standards many people set -- They will ALWAYS fail us. But Jesus never fails. Lean on Him. Rest in what He has done, which was finished at the Cross. Meanwhile, we could pray . . . for better presentation methods? Christ's Forever, Jessi

Luke 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. We all fall short of the glory of God. Could you teach Brad a more excellent way? Acts 18:26 So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. Christ's Forever, Jessi

Howdy, I think there is a bit more of interest concerning Apollos. 24Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. 25He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately. Scott

who are you? is this lovedoes? if it is you can just start explaining right now. flying a little close to the sun huh? well now, what have we here? lets talk about jackie...and lovedoes.... number one, jackie and i hit it off big time... everything was great until i get a call at work, this was months ago, her texting me just chewing me out royally over some post thinking i did it. but i didn't post it.... but then she went and BAM... stopped talking to me .period. then lovedoes appears, and we are writing non stop, this chick talked as much as jackie.... and at first i was thinking lovedoes was my mom, in real life because she joined on november 21st, my mom's birthday, and i thought maybe thats a day i called my mom and mentioned this site....i know i sent her links when mrs. sterns passed away.... anyhow, i just noticed that on the 2x2 board, jackie joined on the same day at the same time as lovedoes joined on this board. the odds are slim to none that its not jackie, but i am just now figuring it out.... if i could take back some things i said.... and the ONLY reason i checked her profile was to see if she ever logs in anymore at all, its been so long.... like back in february... so thats 6 months and i never checked her profile...lol... why should i have? she stopped talking to me for no reason...... .....or did she? ;D back on topic- ummm, nope, i don't wanna be brad either...i got enough problems.... hi brad !!

H'mm... as a keen follower of Jessi's material, I've got to admit to being a bit disappointed with this latest contribution.
Jessi honey, I think you need to thrust a little harder and remember to turn it nice and slowly. Really drill it in, so that the blade gets used on every edge.

I don't want to be a man that can't forgive, or a man who holds grudges, or a man who is easily offended.
