Alpha C. Flint, 67, of Mulkeytown, passed away at 11:40 A.M., Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at her residence.
Alpha had been a homemaker. She was a nondenominational Christian. Alpha enjoyed camping, collecting antiques and traveling. She loved her grandchildren. Most of all, Alpha had a love for God.
She was born August 18, 1952 at Rineyville, KY, the daughter of Marcus and Martha (Croan) McCaughn.
She married Alan F. Flint on July 2, 1970 at West Frankfort, IL and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2016.
She is survived by four daughters - Annette Raetz and husband Tom of Warrenton, MO, Channa Baxter and husband Howard of Du Quoin, Amanda Sarver and husband David of Payson, IL and Alana Pierson and husband Jeff of Roodhouse, IL, two sisters - Bonnie Mynear and husband Robert of Danville, KY and Erma Ekin and husband Ron of Moline, IL, one brother - Harold “Lanny” Smith and wife Adele of Carlyle, IL, eleven grandchildren - Ryan Raetz, Marissa Raetz, Hannah Baxter, Jacquelyn Donohoo and husband Craig, Tristan Sarver, Madelyn Pierson, Connor Baxter, Kate Pierson, Cleo Sarver, Lane Harmon and Caleb Harmon, one great grandchild - Liam Donohoo, and dear friends for years - Doris and Alvin Loyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Greg Willert, Scott Potter, and Jeff Thayer officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Mulkeytown Cemetery at Mulkeytown.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
