Hey I learned to snow board.
It's not that hard to learn so long as the snow is soft, (And it was. Melting!).
My daughter and her friends came to play where I work at the ski resort. I took a ride break.
I liked it better than skiing!
Good times.

I laughed when a friend of mine went snow boarding with her kids for the first time. Apparently you use a whole different set of muscles snow boarding than you do skiing. She was a good skier, but she swore she'd never snow board again lol.

Not much chance here in the uk apart from up in scotland so i and my mates went to austria, france, canada etc. I couldn't ski as it made my knee very painful as you have to twist at the knee quite a bit but effectively just bending at the knee meant that i could snowboard fine. Absolutely love snowboarding and i've not given up hope of going again but my kit is old and rusty, boots are knackered, binding straps have perished so it'll be expensive if i do. The fact that every joint aches all the time and injuries picked up over the years such as torn shoulder, torn knee cartilage (sinovial cup) hinder me too mean that i've kind of accepted retirement. I was looking at my old boards recently and thinking about turning them into a bench seat out in the garden...... Good memories.
