How many examples do you wish? All of them. You wrote never[/u] so I'd like you to write about every time a kindness was shown and sunsequent negative reaction coming from the "high councils". So, every instance of this throughout all the world. And let us just say in the last year, to make it a little easier and shorter. Since you offered.

Its clear, Greg, that Edgar makes these all encompassing statements just to emphsise his points.
When he says "ALL", he means "many"
"NEVER", means sometimes not
"ALWAYS" means sometimes
you get the idea?
If this were not so, then "EVERY" post he makes would "NEVER" be true, and "ALL" would be gross exaggeration.

I am sure Edgar's words are well measured. When he says acts of kindness by one (any of the workers' friends/converts) of those under the rule of the "high council" brings negative action from the "high council" upon that one, I am sure he means each and every one, from his place of residence to Tappen, North Dakota to any location in the outback of Australia and all around the world.

Edgar does use exaggeration to try to process his message.
I know many who have not exact interruptions to some (many, whatever) workers, who show kindness and love to "professing" and "non professing" people and conversely receive love and kindness from "professing" people.
I do not "profess" but on my trips to Alberta, BC and Ontario, California and other places in USA, I have been well received and looked after very well indeed. People have been very kind and the message that Edgar puts forward is NOT my experience.
Often our minds are blind to what is right. Our interpretations of others actions can be quite incorrect.

Edgar might use exaggeration in some cases, but not here. I am sure he means no act of kindness from one of the friends will go unpunished by the high council. I say this because when I questioned his use of "never" he could have simply replied that he was using exaggeration....maybe even threw in little smiley face. Instead he has taken to post words and a link that are to be proof that never has a spirit of kindness been tolerated by the high council of anyone in in the workers' fellowship/sect that extends to those outside the fellowship/sect and under disapproval of the high council.

What do you all expect? I mean, Edgar was a worker. He used to preach that professing was the one true way. We all now know this to be an exaggeration of reality.

Seems like that, for most of the friends and workers, it is a chapter they all choose to ignore and try to forget.
so you had a "civil chit-chat", and you wanted what? Why would a person like that bring up an unfortunate happening that would bring back horrible feelings and possibly anger? So how do you want it. Do you want us to be "civil" or do you want us to break open old wounds and create new hurt feelings. Since this subject has been brought up again, how are we suppose to approach the "ex's" and what are we suppose to talk about? You don' t want to be ignored, and I know a few that say just this, "I don't know what to talk about."I can't imagine bringing up the old past when there is so much current that can be talked about on common ground. So from my perspective, it is a no win situation with some but thankfully not all of you. You will be upset if we don't, and upset if we do and don't talk about you, your hurts, your pain, your past.

Any head worker that knows the truth about the truth and doesn't say anything it has to be pretty tough on them

Probably there are few groups that use the policy of "sweep it under the rug" for internal corruption as effectively as the 2x2s. Then to make a complete farse out of the policy, it is presented to internal membership to be a virtue!!! It is part of "fitting in"! -- and accepting cult corruption 'without a whimper' is an important aspect of "submission"!!

www.themasseys.net/familypix/2001/2001-08HolidayInEurope/2001-08Italy/Carema/-Viewer.aspHi Karen, I was glad for your post -- I can't remember his name at the moment, but the senior worker in Italy at that time was also a Scott -(back row - right corner) He was very good to us -- Alexandra spoke highly of him. (she is second from the right on the front row -- she was booted from the fellowship by Scandinavian workers a short time later - lives in South Africa now) Yes, there is an enormous difference in workers, even on the same staff. Some seem to resist the hypocritical and self-righteous influence of the 2x2 doctrinal construction better than others. I do feel sorry for such folks, as it puts an enormous strain on them. Anxious to do what is right -- but having to dodge all the pressures in the group to abandon the Christian spirit in favor of cult policy. Yes it is a small world -- I was unaware of your connections with the folks in Denver -- Are you related or how do you know them? Wishing you the best. Edgar Massey. Have thought of you alot since your letter a year or two ago now. Hi Edgar, there is something about your post that I don't appreciate, that you're not longer going to meetings and celebrating your 5th deliverance is a reality and I respect that, but to put pictures of Carema (or other people, "friends or not") on this site without asking permission to the concerned people is not only unrespectful but if I'm not wrong, against the law. It is the first time that I read this forum, it hurted my heart to see very close friends of mine on those pictures just put cheapely on this thread. That you name people would be fairly acceptable but pictures... Please send them via e-mail to people that want to see them but not openly like that. The older worker you name is not Scott at all. I won't put more about this here, I try to respect people. Thank you. After all we are not animals to be shown off in a zoo, even if we still go to meetings and like the feelowship. All the best for your future. A lady still going to meetings near Italy

What you think is important isn't to us, and what we think is important is not to you. Fitting in doesn't have any thing to do with my service. My submission is unto God, not man. I am sorry that you feel differently, but that doesn't make you opinion correct. If you when you get together with folks, all you can talk about is what you think is wrong, I can understand the shunning and lack of communication. Kind of like a deliverance of whom from who.

Maybe Edgar would like to tell us what he has NOT been delivered from these years.
As a reader , I sense you are still in the bondage of unforgiveness!
And by the way, there is nothing to celebrate about "deliverance".
It is written....Rejoice that your name is found in The Lamb's Book of Life!

You don't think the people rejoiced that they had been delivered out of Egypt?
I certainly rejoice that I have been delivered out of the bondage of the 2x2s and into the glorious light of Jesus.

So here we have 1 brother worker (who invited you to convention) and 1 sister worker who showed support for that in some way - expelled from the work, and a senior worker replaced.. all because you were welcomed at a convention? The kind of spirit that shows kindness and compassion to folks who have been condemned by 2x2 high councils is never tolerated in the cult. The Alberta mass excommunications are a perfect example of this -- and it is documented in detail if you are interested in checking it out!. Sorry couldn't reply for a few days. Was there exclusion directly related to your welcome at convention?
