“Just because the past didn't turn out like you wanted it to, doesn't mean the future can't be better than you ever imagined.” ― Ziad K. Snow you have convinced me, we need to keep the serotonin levels high. Smiling does that.
Found this research interesting,
“Women who smile are absolutely very attractive. That was by far the most attractive expression women showed,” Tracy said in an interview. The researchers admit they are not sure why men and women reacted differently to smiles. In a man, a big smile may make him appear too feminine or more desperate for sex.
Snow, sorry to hear that you having been having a tough time with pain, do hope that the warmer weather coming up will help you.

Thanks redback we are bit away of the warm weather yet, but thankfully the cold doesn't seem to make it worse for me. I just overdid it and I am paying. Par for the course! You have to weigh pros and cons of how much you want to do something, knowing you will pay. Is it worth it? Yes it was worth it, but just wish for once I could do something without having to pay the piper lol.

When this is over May we never again Take for granted A handshake with a stranger Full shelves at the store Conversations with the neighbors A crowded theatre Friday night out The taste of communion A routine checkup The school rush each morning Coffee with a friend The stadium roaring Each deep breath A boring Tuesday Life itself When this ends May we find That we have become More like the people We wanted to be We were called to be We hoped to be And may we stay That way – better For each other Because of the worst – Laura Kelly Fanucci

I don't believe what he's singing but one of my sisters posted this and said how much it comforted her, so I thought I would share it here so that those who do agree with what he's singing may possibly find it a comfort also.

I really don't come on here anymore. I popped on to see how the Covid19 was being handled.
I wanted to post on this thread because I think it is important for love to prevail.
I left this board a while back due to seeing the same people argue about the same things over and over, and I admit, I was caught up in too many of the debates and regret that I hurt some feelings.
One thing I see, now that I have been free from 2x2ism for nearly 15 years is that I see things so differently. I really appreciate the things that happened to me while attending meetings and attempting to "profess". When I returned to the "truth" in 2001, I told the workers that I counted on God to change me, not workers. I may as well have been turned away immediately. I hope that since my days of release from the bonds that the people still attending will learn a little more love, tolerance and accepting.
The thing that I feel is most important that I have learned or come to believe is that God is something different to everyone, even those in the 2x2 system. I simply cannot believe that a loving God that created me and all that I enjoy would cast me into hell for not going to meetings and I was led to believe that even those in meetings could have suffered hell's fire.
To me it is amazing that one can believe like this with even the slightest intelligence. I simply believe that if we live as Jesus taught, show kindness to others and treat all others fairly, then we have accomplished what we are on this earth for.
I went through so many stages of hate and anger towards the 2x2 group but now realize that many were simply raised with these beliefs and so it really isn't their fault. I hope the workers would take account for the beginnings in Ireland and the people (friends) would realize that there is only one way and that is to live as Jesus taught, kindness, no judging and treating all fairly. The "truth" is supposed to be about love and I hope it can achieve that goal.
Peace to all and best wishes...........Dale

Always Look at the Bright Side of Life Bruce Cockburn
Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad Other things can make you swear and curse When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best, and
Always look on the bright side of life Always look on the bright side of life
If life seems jolly rotten, there's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing When you're feeling in the dumps, don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing, and
Always look on the bright side of life Always look on the bright side of life
Life is quite absurd, and death's the final word We must always face the curtain with a bow Forget about your sin, give the audience a grin Enjoy it, it's your last…

Wally, this is kind of why I don't come on here anymore. If you want to believe in Hell for those that don't go to meetings, then that is fine. I choose not to believe that God would put me in hell for not following some religion man has come up with. Also, Jesus was never really quoted. Those writings are from men that interpreted the text.
In short, believe what you want. I will believe what I want. We all can be happy then

What an inspiration at 99 Captain Tom Moore WW2 Veteran and fund raiser. Set out to raise £1,000. Now raised more than £27m by completing 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG8H_n1nncg

who says jesus was never really quoted were you there when he said those things? It is commonly understood, by the workers as well, that the gospels were written years later than the events allegedly happened, which is why each of the gospels have a variance in their stories. So it would be logically understood that Jesus was not quoted, but rather conversations were recorded according to memory. And to ask someone today if they were there somewhere 2000 years ago is just a lame way of defending a defeated argument.

Again... just a lame way of defending a defeated argument. “It is better to be alone than in bad company.” ― George Washington i just quoted george washington about 200+ years later after he was dead...is that a quote or an interpretation of the text as pianoman suggests? get real...

You're missing the point. Did someone decide years later to write down what he said? Not likely. It would have been recorded at the time, probably even put in print. So that's the difference. So to respond back with your own form of reason.... get real.

The difference is the timeline in which it is recorded. You're fighting a losing argument.

There is a big difference from hearing and recording something at the time and passing down by word of mouth from one person to another until multiple years later before it is written.
If you don't believe that, -do a little experiment. Form a group of people in a circle in room. Have one person give an account for an incident, then have them relate it to the person next to them and so on until it reached the last person.
Then compare how well the last story actually compares to the first story.

Are you sure about that Wally, were you there. King Solomon said you couldn't trust the scribes. Typical journalists, good at fake news.
