Snow Quote - "dark energy and dark matter are fascinating subjects. Taking a course right now that teaches about it. In a sense, something is made from 'nothing' all the time."
It's not that simple Snow. "Things" pop in and out of existence all the time. But they do so in the bubbling foam of what we call "space" which was created in the Big Bang.
Matter can "appear" out of "nothing" in that equation e=mc2. But for this to happen you need energy, which also appeared in the Big Bang.
And then you need "rules" to get things going. That needed to pop out of the Big Bang too.

I was keeping it simple for on here. Not exactly the place to have a conversation about physics. Have you read that book by the way? It's good. Not finished yet.
