Someone mentioned the Dugger's who have 20 children. To each his own, but it made me curious as to if there are any unwritten rules on birth control or sex in the marriage bed in the F&W way. None I've ever heard of. Just curious.

No unwritten rules on that topic that I've ever heard. Growing up, I remember hearing from some people that 3 kids was a good family size because that was "replacement rate" plus one kid for the work. I know other people who felt peer pressure to have large families (3+ children) and to dress them in matching homemade clothing.

Not that I know of either. In fact I remember my parents criticizing the Catholics for having such large families. They said they weren't allowed to practice birth control because the church wanted as many Catholics as they could get putting money into the church. Now I recognize that as a 2x2 mentality of 'our workers don't take up a collection', but they left part of their estate to them so they had to be in some kind of denial if they felt the 2x2's don't take money from their followers the same as the Catholics.

Nothing that I have ever heard of either. A religions high birth rate is a useful tool to grow adherents. The odds are, if you profess, so did you family. Here is a call to action video for Christians to put more arrows in your quiver. youtu.be/mXGqvMHFGY4

I'll take Christians over Muslims, too much OT in the Muslims, they are in need of a reformation or two.

Now that propaganda is all that is needed to put even more fire into some people's hatred of Muslims!
Just like the propaganda Hitler used to rile up the German people against the Jews!
Instead of some people shooting up Jewish places, (like happened last week) now they will feel that they need to start shooting up Mosques!

Give the Muslims a few more centuries and they will be just as civilized as you Christians are now. You do realize you were the same at their age?

some sad news.
PAKISTAN: Christian Couple Sentenced to Death for 'Blasphemous' Texts
Sources: World Watch Monitor, CBN News
A Pakistani court has sentenced a Christian couple to death for insulting Mohammed and the Quran. Shafqat Emmanuel, 44, and his wife, Shaguftah, 41, who live in Gojra, Punjab, were convicted on April 4th of sending "blasphemous" text messages.
The complainant, Muhammad Hussain, alleged he was praying on July 18th of last year when he received blasphemous text messages on his cell phone. Muhammad's call data reportedly revealed the messages were sent from Shaguftah's cell phone number. The police, however, were unable to recover the SIM card from her phone, and Shaguftah argued that she lost her cell phone a month prior to the incident.
Nevertheless, the Gojra police detained the couple, along with their four children (ages five through 13), pressuring them to name someone who could have sent the messages. At last report, the couple was planning to appeal the verdict.
Pray that mercy will be extended to this Christian couple by those of the judicial system, granting them a swift release. Please also bring this couple's children to our Lord in prayer, as Shafqat and Shaguftah have been unable to visit with them since their arrest last summer. May God strengthen the faith of each family member, encouraging them to trust Him wholeheartedly throughout this ordeal. Finally, please intercede on behalf of two other believers, Sawan Masih and Asia Bibi, who have also been sentenced to death for blasphemy in Pakistan.

EGYPT: Christian Woman Brutally Attacked and Killed
Source: VOM USA
Mary Sameh George
Mary Sameh George, a 25-year-old Christian who lived with her parents and sister in Cairo, was brutally attacked and killed on March 28th by pro-Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators.
Mary was on her way to deliver groceries and other necessities to a poor family in the Ein Shams area, as she did every Friday, when she was stopped by a group of protesters. When they spotted Mary's gold cross necklace, they dragged her out of the car and repeatedly stabbed her before finally choking her to death.
The family of this young Christian woman was understandably devastated when they learned of the murder. In fact, her fiancé's mother was so grief-stricken that she died shortly after learning of Mary's death.
Bring Mary's family, fiancé and other loved ones to our Lord in prayer, asking Him to grant them His peace which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Pray also that they will find hope in Christ's resurrection and sure promise that they will be reunited in heaven. Until then, may they look to Jesus for the strength and grace to forgive those who ended Mary's life so tragically. Intercede on behalf of those guilty of this crime, as well as all those in Egypt who oppose the Gospel...that they may come to experience the saving power of Jesus Christ.

None I've ever heard of. Just curious. I've never heard of anything relating to birth control or number of children. I hear a whole lot about a 'woman's place being in the home' looking after the home etc, but nothing about motherhood. It's definitely refreshing that I know of no unwritten rules about these things.

I knew from my Catholic cousin (whom I attended school with) what the official Catholic policy was on contraceptives and sex in general. The whole idea of "procreation only, never for pleasure".
That being the policy of a "worldly, false religion" I naturally assumed that our "true faith" would have even stricter rules. Wait, we have no rules, shall I say, stricter "suggestions" as to how to conduct the acts of intimacy between married couples in a manner that is befitting of God's people.
I never gave it another thought until a friend of mine was getting married and he mentioned in passing that is fiance was seeing a doctor to get on the birth control pill. I was shocked at the time, surprised that we took second place to a false church when it came to moral piety.
Now I must say I am glad that, (in this aspect anyways), the 2x2 policy makers have been wise to keep their noses out of the bedrooms.

I think the 2x2 way is the best contraceptive yet.
Maybe if they started Christening the babies, they can lay claim on them for life and sue them if they don't profess.
Meetings certainly seemed to make me numb from the waste down, so maybe....................
