Snopes says it' false but it's still funny He actually looks a bit like her though. Apparently from the books I've read on his early childhood she was an absent parent. Didn't have a lot to do with her kids.

Snopes says it' false but it's still funny Do you mean the image is false or the article attributing the inherited aspect of intelligence to the mother is false? (The article seems far-fetched to me)

Snopes says it' false but it's still funny Do you mean the image is false or the article attributing the inherited aspect of intelligence to the mother is false? (The article seems far-fetched to me) From Snopes This is not a genuine quote from the president’s mother. And while we’ve encountered a few postings of this meme, we’ve yet to find any information about where and when this comment allegedly was made.
Mary Anne MacLeod Trump passed away in 2000, so she certainly didn’t make the comment recently. We searched a newspaper archive for any mentions of this alleged quote but turned up no news articles containing the remark. In fact, we were unable to find this quote in any books, magazines, or interviews. It appears that this quote was created and exists solely for the purpose of this meme.
While this meme features a photograph of President Trump’s mother, another relative in the family goes by a similar first name: Trump’s sister, Maryanne Trump. We looked to see if she might have made the remark, but again we came up empty-handed.
To sum up, the president’s mother did not call him “an idiot with zero common sense.” We therefore rate this claim “False.”

(The article seems far-fetched to me) The article I posted was not false as far as I could tell. But definitely Trump's mother supposedly saying this is false because she died before he was ever made president. Just a Meme. However, from pictures of him and his mother I do think the picture is probably legit from some function they attended together and a meme attached to it that is false.

Although not specific to the linked news article this is related: www.snopes.com/fact-check/intelligence-is-inherited-only-from-your-mother/My concern that the article was relying on some far-fetched/ likely false assumptions, is more or less captured by snopes as; 1. There are specific and discrete genes that universally determine intelligence. 2. Those genes are located on the X chromosome. 3. That means that the genes must come from your mother.1 & 2 seem like a guess in the dark and rather unlikely to be true given the complexity of even classifying intelligence. 3 ignores the issue of females inheriting an X chromosome from both parents.

Genetics does allow for that. So I agree it's more complex. The article itself was interesting and that's why I posted it.

Interesting article. They are getting more often and in a pattern.
While the cause of the repeating pattern is unknown, researchers said the FRB could be orbiting a black hole-like object, flashing its signal at a specific point in its orbital period.
According to another study looking at the same data, the pattern could be consistent with that of a binary star system containing a massive star and a dense neutron star. The neutron star could be emitting the bursts, which are sometimes hidden by winds caused by its massive friend.
“Fast radio bursts are exceedingly bright given their short duration and origin at great distances, and we haven’t identified a possible natural source with any confidence,” Avi Loeb, a Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics theorist, said in a press release back in 2017.
There is one source most scientists have generally ruled out: aliens. But discovering more repeating FRBs may be the only way to know for sure.

Norcan can reverse overdose if caught quick enough. But isn't useful if it isn't administered fairly quickly.

It is always inspirational to see people with challenges be able to do so much. Cudos to him. Since God is what he needs to do this, then I'm good with that. I disagree that it is ever a requirement though. A guy I went out with in high school had a son born with no arms or legs and that boy has been a wonderful inspiration to all of us. He uses prosthetics and has done so many things that we adults never dreamed he could have done when he was born. He skis, plays frisbee, baseball and many other activities. His dad is very much the motivator behind it I believe because he is an amazing athlete and was always there for his son, never saying, that's not possible. Thanks for posting Wally.

Apparently the patient needs to be breathing when it's administered or very quickly after breathing has stopped. From what I have found you have 3-5 minutes to administer it after breathing has stopped or it won't be effective to save the life.

Yes I saw that. Hopeful for our future where we want to be more environmentally friendly and still need to use electricity. I saw that Portland Oregon has put a mechanism in their water pipes so that every time someone turns on the water it generates electricity. So good to see more and more ways to have cleaner energy generated. www.labroots.com/trending/videos/13676/portland-generating-electricity-city-water-pipes

Reproductive genome from the laboratory "The scientists assembled the artificial genomes from up to eleven ring-shaped pieces of DNA. This modular structure enables them to insert or remove certain DNA segments easily. The largest modular genome reproduced by the researchers in the study consists of more than 116,000 base pairs, reaching the genome length of very simply cells."

they still will never be able to create something out of nothing everything they are doing involves existing material.... I presume you mean that God created everything from nothing, yet there is no indication that is what actually happened. I prefer to not know where everything came to instead of inserting an unknown into the picture as 'truth'. No one can explain where the entity they claim created everything came from and how it was created. There is no way to know how anything exists, let alone the Christian God. It's not something we can know, so why invent it?

This is what I learned today ! The history of the middle finger ! Well know........... here’s something I never knew before. Now that I know that , I feel compelled to send it on to intelligent friends in hope they too , will feel edified . Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415 , the French anticipating victory over the English , proposed to cut out the middle finger of all captured English soldiers . Without that finger middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English long bow and therefore would be incapable of fighting in the future . This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree , and the act of drawing was known as ‘plucking the yew (or pluck yew) . Much to the bewilderment of the French , the English won a major upset and they began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French , saying . See we can pluck yew . Since Pluck you is rather difficult , to say the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labloedentalfricative F , and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one finger salute ! It is also because of of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that symbol gesture is now known as ‘giving the bird ‘ . www.snopes.com/fact-check/pluck-yew/
