Quote of the Day:
"Women in combat, free abortions, gun control, gay rights, universal health care - at least the GOP doesn't mind when Israel does it.”

"There really are only two types of Republicans; those that are rich and the poor ones who don't know any better."

An aboriginal friend related a story about big lineups at St peters gate. Looooong lineups except there was another entrance, with no lineups, just show up and in you go. He noticed this entrance was only used by his people, Indians, and asked why they didn't have to wait. "Oh, we have reservations ". Another aboriginal friend who is a good singer, along with his wife, were at a public gathering performing to a mostly "white " crowd. He tried to loosen the atmosphere but it kinda backfired on him. He asked "why did the white man go to the moon? ". Hmmmmmmmmm uncomfortable silence. He said " I guess they heard that we had some land up there too". Hmm didn't go so good but he tried. He really tried. He's cool guy.

Big businesses, aka corporations, (owned by guess who?) get some of the biggest free handouts in the form of subsidies from the government.

My uncle was an Electrician and baker, he wired the bakery and he puts currant in bread. Nice one P/T! A bit like our dear friend Nathan being a baker. He kneeds the dough!

You are sharp, you rammed that one in pretty quickly. Good one at Nathan's expense even though he is short on the dough. Did you know that Moses was very disobedient? He was told to strike the rock once and he stuck it twice. The lorde told him to come forth and he came fifth.

At the Sermon on the Mount Jesus clearly demonstrated this when he said "Blessed are the Peacemakers," for theirs is the Kingdom of God."This is the earliest historical reference to Samuel Colt's .45 calibre revolver being referred to by this term, and is supported by the fact that Jesus rode into Jerusalem with a "Colt!" According to Ramopaedia it was the olive branches laid down by the people as Jesus entered the city that led to the now famous handgun being nicknamed the "Peacemaker!"

Genie in a bottle
Three friends, an Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishmen were on holiday in the tropics. They hired a sailing boat with the intention of sailing around the islands. They set off for the first island and encountered some bad weather which blew them off course and blew away the sails as nightfall closed in. They drifted through the night and were lost for a little while. The tide took them ashore on a remote island and as they climbed out of the boat on to the sands they noticed a bottle on the sand. The Irishman picked it up and rubbed it to read the label, and out popped A Genie with a friendly greeting: "hello my friends, are you lost? I have three wishes to grant, one wish for each of you, who is first? The Scotman raised his hand and the genie said: Your wish is my command. The Scotsman responded: I wish that I was back in Glasgow having a nice cool beer with my friends. The Genie : abracadabra, and with a waive of the hand, the Scotman vanished. Who is next, asked the Genie and the Englishman said: I wish that I was back in London having a drink and a game of darts with my friends. The Genie said : your wish is my command, abracadabra, and the Englishman disappeared. The Irishman looked around and seeing that his two friends had vanished became lonely so When the Genie asked him: and what is your wish? Your wish is my command, the Irishman said, I feel so lonely now, I wish my two friends were back here with me. The Genie said: abracadabra and his two friends were back with him stranded on the sands with no more wishes. I believe they remain friends for the rest of their lives.

Very good P/T but I'm afraid it misrepresents Scotsmen. You missed out "with them buying the drinks" when he wished he was back in Glasgow having a nice cool beer with his friends! You must get these things right!

I knew a guy once, whose brother had a friend, whose cousin's uncle on his wife's side, knew of a Scotsman who once put his hand in his pocket and bought someone a pint. Whilst I was initially skeptical about the truth of this account, I have heard a number of "hearsay" supporting statements, and whilst this does not substantiate proof, the fact that I later learned the Scotsman was admitted to a psychiatric Ward sort of convinced me that such things could indeed happen!

Anyway you have to be a little diplomatic here, because if and when they finally achieve :|independence, they may not let the rest of the UK get any of the North Sea oil or they might charge us an arm and a leg for it.

Just look at what we charge fur a bottle o' life? It poors oot the sky and runs though peat bogs fur nuthin' then gits a wee bit distillin' before its pit on the market. Noo you try an' buy a bottle? It'll cost ye an arm an' a leg!

I started to smile when I saw this one, then I had to wipe the smile off my face and wondered if I should get down on my knees and pray also.
