First of all forgive me for posting here. I am new to these discussion boards and as of yet very suspicious of them. As such not registered on any. I have only been reading here for about a month off and on. If the admin would like to post this to the regular threads it would be nice. Which leads me to this post. I have just found out about and have been reading the WF&X board this past week. Its kinda sick. The link is members3.boardhost.com/Professing/index.html?1020062694I noticed something strange. There is a hidden background page which is the TTT. You cannot see it but if but it is there with all navigation to TTT. Does this mean that the Workers Friend & Ex board belongs to TTT? Why would the TTT page be hidden in the background?

Why would the TTT page be hidden in the background? You are right, if you click "source" under the view tab on your browser it's right there in the code: <style type="text/css" media="all">ul { list-style-image: url(http://www.tellingthetruth.info/plogger/?level=picture&id=666); }</style>
<body background="http://www.tellingthetruth.info/plogger/?level=picture&id=666" bgcolor="#CCCCCC" text="#00001F" link="#FF2441" alink="#B555B2" vlink="#B555B2" onload="expclall();"> That means the IP address of anyone who views that board is recorded on the TTT server logs and is available for review by whoever has access to the TTT website server logs.

It's a link to this message board. Not that interesting - it shows up at the top of the page. For the record: TTT never has had any connection nor has the owner of TTT (me) ever owned WF&E Bd. I dont even know who the owner is.
Whoever set up that board had no clue what they were doing. Background tags are supposed to pull an image file, not a web page. Since the tag is incorrectly coded, nothing is being pulled from TTT.
That's why you see a solid background and not a picture. The picture itself is made mostly of dark pixels. Had the WFE owner had any idea what they were doing, that picture as a background would have rendered WFE unreadable. Only due to their error is WFE readable now.
The assumption, based on the erroneous background tag, that TTT owns WF&E is also in error. WF&E could have pulled an image from any website. The WF&E owner tried to use a picture from TTT's image gallery but used a gallery URL by mistake. TTT's web log does not register any activity since no image is being pulled.

Browser attempts to pull even a non-existent image from TTT will be recorded on TTT serverlogs. Check close, you will find them.

My dyno web site is revsearch.com. To show how a web site server records a request for a non existant file I typed this request into my browser; www.revsearch.com/will_this_request_for_a_nonexistant_file_show_up_on_a_server_logMinutes later this is what shows up on the revsearch.com server log; 64.68.8.168 - - [25/Jul/2012:18:22:19 -0700] "GET /will_this_request_for_a_nonexistant_file_show_up_on_a_server_log HTTP/1.1" 404 1090 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0)" Now let's trace that IP; click it -> www.my-ip-address-is.com/ip/64.68.8.0Hazen ND. If someone had a friends list or connections in ND they could narrow the IP down to two families, the Lackman's being one of them. That's how easy it is to trace IPs to real people.

Privacy Report for Worker Friend and Ex Board; Looks like the TTT link not only leaves your IP on the TTT server logs - it wants to give a you a cookie as a bonus!

Jesse: I'm shocked. You used to have on your signature line words to the effect that you would NEVER post under another name besides Jesse Lackman. And I had really believed that you were a man of your word...PM shows user "TMB isn't edifying anymore" to be jesselackman

WF&E is not my board.
If anyone has a problem with what may or may not be happening on the TTT server, then I suggest you contact the WF&E owner or the WF&E board host.

Cherie I changed my mind about posting under my real name, people change their minds about various things. And I might change it again. I know posters here are smart enough to figure it out anyway, just like anyone with google could use my name to see I have a website called revsearch.com.
~
Cherie is ilylo still the TTT webmaster? I'll be shocked if he isn't.

TTT's web log does not register any activity since no image is being pulled. Should be an entry in the error log file.

Repeat: WF&E is not my board. If anyone has a problem with what may or may not be happening on the TTT server, then feel free to contact the WF&E board owner or the WF&E board host.
Hopefully one of them can discontinue whatever it is that you're unhappy about. Since I am not the owner or admin of the WF&E board, I do not have the ability to modify anything on it. (You're barking up the wrong tree.)
