Isn't it sad that nobody has made any comment on this thread since March 2010. In my opinion (IMO) there are lots - and LOTS - of lonely, professing people out there. But so many are fearful of the consequences if they admit, 'Yes! I'm lonely! I feel wretched!' It's all just swept under the carpet.

Thought I'd find lots on here writing, wanting friends but it does seem quiet. Interested in trying to make new friendships to help cheer up in life.

Just checking things out on the TMB board.
When I ran across this, I thought that it is a rather strange post. I am under the understanding that the workers do not approve of the TMB board and don't want professing people to come on here, and I would think that especially for any "dating" or getting acquainted ideas, that it would be double trouble for anyone posting. I posted about people remaining unknown and their desire and reasons for doing that, and to come to a site like this, I would find that coming here to "meet" someone, with the remaining anonymous, would be really a quick death for a site like this. I am just curious and maybe I am not taking the correct "take" on this post or the idea of it.
I think it would be great for people to meet, professing or not, especially with a background of having gone to meetings, would be a good thing.
I would like to have someone explain how they see it and from what standpoint are they coming from. Inside or an "ex" I am just curious.
Thanks in advance..............Dale/Pianoman/Lazarus66

Thanks in advance..............Dale/Pianoman/Lazarus66 First of all, if we believe Scott, there are many workers who read, not post, here. So comeing here shouldn't be a huge problem. Second, if you are thinking it may be a place to find friends/companionship (I don't mean workers) identity probably isn't a huge issue. Third, I think if someone reads something of interest, there would be no harm in sending a PM. The other person can choose how to react. Just my 2c. I may be more open-minded than many because 3 of my kids had romances that began online and ended in marriage.

Come on down, Lazzy. We can meet and greet. Never know, I just might drive up there again to look through your open window next to the shower.
Emy, I don't put much stock in online romances. It may have worked for a select few . . . maybe I'm too picky. Nope, not maybe. I'm picky.
