A thread for each book is what I mentioned to Admin. at the outset. Since he/she has graciously given us an entire board, it might be nice to have a thread for each set of 3 chapters or so. If we get enough people to participate, it will keep things a bit more organized. (3 chapters OR SO.....whatever we decide. It is up to everyone, but I would really like to do more than 1 chapter a day if the majority agree.)

It doesn't matter which Bible version we each use, but it might be nice if you share which version you are using each day in case we would like to look up your verses/thoughts and follow along. M.

I am fine with how things are, personally...but if I can entice anyone else to participate in these discussions by slowing the pace (with thoughts of real life in mind!) I would be glad to do so. I see that Selah, over at the Book Nook on 2x2 Doctine Board, usually runs about one chapter a week. Would anyone else participate if we went more slowly? I would really like to get others thoughts...I already know what I think!!! M.

Howdy, Since I am now officially Michelle's helper here, I want to see if we can't get the chapter studies going again. I want to encourage all to come and share in the bible study threads. I have found that on the main board, there can be some pretty interesting discussions regarding scripture and how we all can feel moved in different ways by certain passages from the bible. Please join in the discussions here, and let us know how the bible speaks to your heart. If anyone has suggestions as to how to encourage others to participate, please let us know. I was thinking that perhaps I would 'sticky' two different chapters to the top of the discussions, and then as new chapters were brought up for study, I would pin them to the top. For example, we are currently going through the book of Matthew. I thought that I would also add in the book of Acts so that it might stimulate more participation. Perhaps each week add a new chapter, no matter what the participation has been. Of course it is always fine to post again on a previous thread. If anyone would rather study a different book, just let me know. I will start this real soon. I will give folks a chance to suggest a different book than Acts if they would prefer. Thanks Michelle for allowing me to help out with this, and also a big thanks to our Administrator. Especially for those cool green stars!! WOO HOO!! Scott

Uhhh... I have been a bit quiet over here haven't I? I've actually been pretty quiet on the main board lately also. Maybe it's time to get a bit more involved huh??? Hopefully we can get some more interest in sharing what scripture means to us over here.... Scott

hello Scott! Are you thinking about starting with Acts or Revelation?

I'm thinking Acts. Just go through it by chapter, and anyone is welcome to share what they get from the chapter, or what it leads them to read and think about elsewhere. Scott

Hi Scott! I see not many studies going on recently... was wondering if you could open up a chapter to study?? Anywhere in the New Testament is my vote since I want to learn more about the true gospel. Hope we can start a study!!

How about we go through Romans over the next few weeks, months, year if it takes it? lol It is the closest thing to a systematic theology in the bible and is a good take on the gospel of our salvation, starting with man's depravity. just a thought, don't mind me though.

Romans is fine with me. How about it GodIsLove? My other thought would be Acts. I like them both! Scott

Well.... Since I had already started Acts, perhaps I will move on to Romans, but will continue with Acts also. Just wasn't much interest to participate over here.

I like Acts a lot too and Romans is great too! I read through Romans a few weeks ago and feel that I need to go through it really slowly now. I'd love to participate in both studies!
